Bible Note: I fully agree that to just add scripture to memory without understanding is really of no benifit. I don't feel a need to defend ant part of the Bible because it can stand on it's own. I do believe that before you open your Bible that you should pray for guidence by the Holy Spirit and ask for your eyes to be opened that you may recieve understanding.I also believe what is said in Is. and in Jn that if they don't speak acording to the word it is because there is no light in them. Also in Jn it says if they say they know Christ and they don't keep his commandments that they are a lier and the truth is not in them. Not everyone is perfect. If I am in error I want someone to gently show me the error and help to guide me to full understanding. When we speak harshly we drive others away from the truth. If I am in error then pray for me brother that I will know the truth and allow the Spirit to move on me to open my eyes. You sound like a harsh parent barking at a child. I know that I am a child in the eyes of God. Who knows all? Does any man? So I say to you let us pray one for another. I already know there is mush knowledge in you. Just let us both give messages with a little love and patience for eachother. If I have offended you I ask your forgiveness. There is nothing wrong with disagreeing with one another. I know that there is nothing in the Bible about the Maccabees, and I know that Greece was one of the world powers. I think that there is some history in these books that may help in my study. Is this where the Pharasees and Saducees come from? Can you help me with the study of the war of the Maccabees? Your sister in Christ, CL |
