Bible Note: You sound as if you believe that Christ came to magnify the law and not to distroy it. If we are to honor our creator and follow his law then why does the world make void the fourth commandment? Some say it is in honor of the resurection, but Christ never arthorised this change. You being catholic maybe you can explain to me why this was done. Did the Roman Empire in 330 AD by Emperor Constantine turn over the Empire to the Pope? To quote Papal Rights and Privileges, pages 13 and 14,"When the Roman Empire became Christian, and peace was guaranteed, the Emperor left Rome to the Pope, to be the seat of the authority of the Vicar of Christ, who should reign there independent of all human authority, to the consummation of ages, to the end of time." So here it is that the Pope changes the day to the first day to allow for easier conversion of pagans to a form of christianity. The worlds churches follow along. If there is no Bible reference to the change then it is not of God and is causing many people to sin in blindness. They do what they are taught and are not open to the truth that the fourth commandment is just as valid as are the other nine. Am I right? Can you disprove me with Gods word? I want the truth and only that do I seek. Radioman2 has given me much on this as has Darcy. All still confirms to me that all commandments are valid although the ceramonial laws have been forfilled and they are no longer in affect. I would like a responce if you have the time for me. Thanks. Your sister in Christ CL |
