NASB | Mark 16:1 When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, so that they might come and anoint Him. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Mark 16:1 When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome purchased [sweet-smelling] spices, so that they might go and anoint Him. [Matt 28:1-8; Luke 24:1-10; John 20:1-8] |
Bible Question: Could anyone give a few solid reasons why they think both women would have even left with spices to anoint Jesus' body (Mark 16:1) if they had no way into the tomb to attempt such a deed? |
Bible Answer: Verse 3 says ... They were saying to one another, "Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?" ... so they probably didn't think about that before they left. |
