Bible Question:
"when you lay in bed search your thoughts and remove all negative feelings: all angry thought that would cloud your mind and build up an evil foundation in your heart" How do I do this? I used to use buddhist meditation. I doubt that would be correct for me now. Is there a Christian way to "meditate"? |
Bible Answer: formereverything, There is a tradition of Christian meditation and contemplation. It is in the monastic tradition of the Catholic Church and is centered on meditating on Scripture. The link below gives a brief overview. The wrtings of St John of the Cross and St Theresa of Avila are the masterpieces of writing on this subject, in print for 500 years. http://www.scborromeo.org/ccc/p4s1c3a1.htm#2705 Emmaus |
