AMPLIFIED 2015 | Matthew 5:22 "But I say to you that everyone who continues to be angry with his brother or harbors malice against him shall be guilty before the court; and whoever speaks [contemptuously and insultingly] to his brother, Raca (You empty-headed idiot)!' shall be guilty before the supreme court (Sanhedrin); and whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of the fiery hell. |
Bible Question:
"when you lay in bed search your thoughts and remove all negative feelings: all angry thought that would cloud your mind and build up an evil foundation in your heart" How do I do this? I used to use buddhist meditation. I doubt that would be correct for me now. Is there a Christian way to "meditate"? |
Bible Answer: Philip. 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things. Paul is telling us to think on positive things, wehn we try to clear our minds we leave it open for deception. Therefore we are to dwell or think of things that are good and edify the spirit. Edb |
