Bible Note: We are not sure who exactly is the author of Hebrews. In any case, the "Sabbath rest" in Hebrews 4 is a future rest for the people of God still on earth. It REMAINS for us, we must be DILIGENT to make sure that we are one of the ones who enter it. Read Hebrews 4 again in the context of the whole book and it becomes pretty clear that the Sabbath rest is Heaven, not reconciliation (Hebrews 4:1,6,9,11) Please show me where, as a Gentile, I was ever under the Mosaic Covenant (if that is what you mean by the Law). --Joe! |
