Subject: I CAME TO FULFILL THE LAW |
Bible Note: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9, KJV) Brian: Overall you have written an excellent post here. You've done a very good job of showing that God is indeed a God of justice and compassion in the OT as well as the NT. Also, look how many times in the Psalms the word lovingkindness is used in reference to the LORD. I have only one problem. Are you sure you meant to say "From this, we also begin to understand how to gain entry in heaven, by acting as a 'Christian'?" Please see Romans 4:5; 3:28; Ephesians 2:8-9. There you will see we are saved by grace through faith plus nothing. A man is justified by faith apart from observing the law. Grace to you, kalos |
