AMPLIFIED 2015 | Matthew 19:5 and said, 'FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER AND SHALL BE JOINED INSEPARABLY TO HIS WIFE, AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH'? [Gen 1:27; 2:24; Mark 10:7] |
Bible Question (short): Men had multiple wives in the old test. |
Question (full): Why does the bible speak about so many of our prophets having multiple wives and it says nothing about this being wrong. It is implied that men can have more than one wife. Example in Deuteronomy 21:15. All through the old testament it speaks of man having more than one wife like it is okay. I have a friend who believes that he can have more than one wife and I need some scripture and word of God to work with. Can anyone help. |
