Subject: Is "Willful Ignorance" in the Scripture? |
Bible Note: The context of 2 Peter 3:5, I believe, is the knowledge of sin and yet committing it still. But the question " falling again and again " to sin by Jeannie should not be construed as " Willfull Ignorance". All sins can be identified and counted. Meaning it is finite. Thus, man will commit the same sins again and again. Being in evil flesh, we will always commit sin, the same sin which we have done before. So will it be forgiven? YES, it will. Then where is real repentance. It is in our hearts where only God can access. Peter who has been with Jesus Himself, committed this "willful ignorance" by denying Him three times. Now, he holds the key to heaven. Judas Iscariot, made only one. But his heart, God knew, now he burns in hell. To Jeannie, To be born again is NOT to be perfect. It is STRIVING to be perfect. Keep on praying and learning more about the Word of God and soon you will realize your repetitive sins are diminishing. In Jesus' name, Ngop |
