Bible Question:
If I am a born again christian, and have fallen back into the flesh or worldly sins, will God forgive me of sins?I still struggle with the same sins, but it is so hard.I pray for the forgiveness and strength, but I do still sin. Will I be forgiven?I read that it is 7 times harder to come back to the Lord and it is but I refuse to give up.Will I be forgiven is my question? Bible Answer: Chich 60, let me ask you a question and I think you will see your answer. What sin didn't Jesus die for? I would assume that you said all sin except the one of not believing in Him. Now the fact that God is all knowing, it would be kind of silly to think that He didn't know that you were going to sin after you were saved, right! God knows we are still in these sinful bodies and He saves us because we believe in His precious Son Jesus in spite of our old sin natures. We try to do the best we can but sometimes that old nature takes over and Bang, we sin. Paul had the same problem that we all have a new nature and an old sin nature. Romans 7:14-25 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. 15For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. 16If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. 17Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 18For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. 19For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. 20Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 21I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. 22For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: 23But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? 25I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. Remember this in Romans and if you sin use I John 1:9 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I hope this helps, we all have the same problem, CDBJ |
