Bible Note: Hi, CiY! It is good to combine Scripture... it is in light of Scripture that we can understand other Scripture... Yet, when we interprete Scripture we must adhere to Scripture and not to our personal views or inclinations... If Paul had suggested that men and women served in the Chruch in the same offices why are there no females named as aspostles? Why did all the references to ministry is to male apostles and disciples? Did Jesus make a mistake and forgot that there were females living among the 12 men He chose as His disciples? And when faced with the very first internal administrative crisis, why did the Twelve not name a few of the female counterparts to care for the widows? They chose seven men to tend to the needs of the Church's widows! (Acts 6:1-7) When we read a novel or a non-fiction story we can speculate till the end of the story... Scripture does not allow for speculation, we either accept God's Word as His Command or we circumvent the Truth! God Bless! Angel |
