Bible Note: This is an interesting question. The preacher's sermon today was from Genesis 4. He emphasized the righteous testimony of Abel. Verse 1 says that Adam 'knew' Eve, a euphemism for marriage relations. In doing so they began to be "fruitful and multiply." The Matthew passage you mention is where we understand that Mary was a virgin when Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit. But she was a woman and she was betrothed. After Jesus was born, there was nothing to hinder her from having children with her husband Joseph. Jesus had half-brothers and sisters.
