Bible Note: Word study ... adelphos, adelphe, anepsios ... Emmaus, I see that the Hebrew and Aramaic don't have a word for cousin, as far as I know. However, the NT was written in Greek, so we need to look at the Greek. Let me refresh your memory. The word for brother is adelphos, sister is adelphe ... and there is a word for cousin, it is anepsios (Col 4:10). Neither of you sites mentioned this verse. I would like you to see what is said. James, Joseph, Simon and Judas were children of Joesph and Mary, half-brothers of Jesus, based on this passage and Luke 1:25 as well as others. I have proven they could not be cousins, what do you say about this? Please don't asked me another question or skirt the issue.
