Subject: Are "careless words" sin? |
Bible Note: As I mentioned, Jesus' Words are very clear and it doesn't seem to describe anything like what you're saying. In contrast to that, I'd also submit Paul's words from Hebrews Heb 9:27 And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment, Heb 9:28 so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him. As I mentioned, when you take ALL the scriptures from the NT and put them together and draw a solid, consistent conclusion, I can only see the scene as clearly depicted by our Lord in Matt 25. I realize this goes counter with what you and several others believe but the Bible really should be read clearly and simply whenever possible as our Lord intended it. Of course there are exceptions like the figurative language in Revelation, Daniel and Ezekiel. Blessings to you. Country Girl |
