AMPLIFIED 2015 | Obadiah 1:16 "Because just as you [Edom] drank on My holy mountain [desecrating it in the revelry of the destroyers], So shall all the nations drink continually [one by one, of My wrath]; Yes, they shall drink and swallow [the full measure of punishment] And become as though they had never existed. Subject: How does God judge and who? |
Bible Note: It is inferred from the following: He created us in His image and it was very good: Gen 1.27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 31 ¶ And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. He didn't require us to fall: Jas 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: And He said He always gives us a way out: 1Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. He has commanded us to be perfect: Ge 17:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. De 18:13 Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God. 1Ki 8:61 Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day. Mt 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. 2Co 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. And he has given us the means: 2 Tim 3.16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. Nobody but Christ has done it. But we should not take comfort in numbers, but instead be encouraging one another to Holiness. Thanks for asking. |
