(Amplified) Note: "lower than God [OR HEAVENLY BEINGS]" (emphasis added). Heb 2:7 "YOU HAVE MADE HIM FOR A LITTLE WHILE LOWER THAN THE ANGELS; YOU HAVE CROWNED HIM WITH GLORY AND HONOR, AND HAVE APPOINTED HIM OVER THE WORKS OF YOUR HANDS; (Amplified) Note: "LOWER THAN *THE ANGELS*" (emphasis added). In 26 out of 26 versions I consulted, all 26 of them translate the word in Heb 2:7 as "angels." The translations that use angels in Heb 2:7 are: Amplified, NIV, NASB, NLT, KJV, NKJV, RSV, 21st Century KJV, Worldwide English, Darby, 3rd Millenium, NRSV, TEV, Douay-Rheims, New Century, GOD'S WORD, World English Bible, Bible in Basic English, Hebrew Names Version, Webster's Bible, Latin Vulgate ("angelis"), Wesley's NT, Phillips, NEB, CEV, ASV 1901. No one at this Forum thinks he knows better than the translators of 26 versions, does he? Grace to you. |
