Subject: Animals in the New Testament? |
Bible Note: We seem to be obsessed with doing what God has commanded us to do. And the most important of these commandments is to love God with all your heart, mind, and spirit. And to love one another as well. I am not obsessed, but have the passion and desire to please God, period! I think God gave me a compassionate heart when it comes to the care of an animal. And the care of a child, and the care of an elderly person, and the care of a fellow Christian who is in need of counseling or friendship. I care for people who suffer physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I find it troubling to suggest that I’m not able to keep a balance of what I am passionate about. I also feel God has given me a talent to be a gardener but it’s not an obsession. Every thing is done to glorify God, and I pray that what ever I do it is to glorify his name. There are many forms of idol worship, and being puffed up, obstinate and opinionated is just as wrong as some one who puts the love of anything first before God. The whole point of this forum was to evaluate the relationship people have with their pets. I suggested looking at the book of Geneses to see what kind of relationship Adam had with the animals in the garden of Edom. And what was the commandment God had given him pertaining to the creators. Wasn’t he commanded to name all of them? What was the signifagents to God wanting Adam to name them? And weren’t they first created by God to be a companion to Adam? And how were they created by God? Could it be possible that God created them by breathing life into them just like he did with Adam? What was the reason for animals to be present when Jesus Christ was born? Why did God bother to mention that the lion will lay down with the lamb? Why is Christ going to ascend from heaven riding a white horse? Why were there animal sacrifices performed for the forgiveness of sins? Could it be because God considered animals as innocent? The point is simple, It’s better for an animal to be loved by a Christian that an unbeliever. And to use that love to some how glorify God by witnessing to others Gods love for all His creation. Especially ours. In Christ Jesus our lord and savoir and creator |
