Bible Note: Well, Ray, if Goliath didn't have a leg to stand on, he must have been a double amputee; and if David had three feet more than Goliath, he must have therefore had three feet, so Professor Hotaire must have been right in his count. As for the difference between Goliath and David being two letters, it must have been David who was ahead. We know he wrote most of the "letters" in the book of Psalms and we have no record of Goliath having written anything, so we must give David the edge on this one too. Even if by "letters" we mean the count of letters of the alphabet used to spell their respective names, David still wins by a score of 7 to 5. .... Now this is what I call serious biblical research. Don't you just love it? It's far and away a nobler pursuit than some fare that is served on the forum menu, don't you think? .... If only we could solve the mystery of Cain's wife! :-) --Hank |
