Bible Note: On the contrary, Steve, these verses have EVERYTHING to do with worship! :) I suggest that it is you who need to go back and study the context of these verses. Your explanation alone proves you wrong. :) You stated: "Psalm 28:2 is during a cry for mercy (prayer ?) Psalm 63:4 is during a time of praise Psalm 119:48 is surrender to His commands Psalm 134:2 is during a time of praise Lamentations 2:19 is during a cry for one's children (prayer ?) Lamentations 3:41 is during a time of confession of sin Hebrews 12:12 is about strengthening arms and knees" Now by looking at your commentary, how can these verses not be tied into worship?? I am not in any way changing the meaning of the word "worship" by ascribing worship to these verses. It is difficult to find anyplace in the Bible that doesn't have something to do with worship. So I return to my original unanswered question: What is the significance of "lifting up of hands" in worship? Thank you in advance for your answer! Nicodemus |
