Bible Note: Mommapbs Your right the Bible does not say Job was sinless in that many words but I think anyone would agree these verses make a pretty convincing argument that Job was considered righteous before the Lord. Job 1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job; and that man was blameless, upright, fearing God and turning away from evil. Job 1:8 The LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, fearing God and turning away from evil." Job 1:22 Through all this Job did not sin nor did he blame God. Job 2:3 The LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man fearing God and turning away from evil. And he still holds fast his integrity, although you incited Me against him to ruin him without cause." Job 2:10 But he said to her, "You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God and not accept adversity?" In all this Job did not sin with his lips. The point I was trying to make is there are some that try to say that Job through sin brought his problems upon himself. I was refuting that. No sin brought these disasters into Job’s life. If anything his righteous living caused him to be zeroed in on by Satan. Have you ever consider Enoch, he must have been pretty special since he went from this world directly into God’s presence. I wonder about his sin state. EdB |
