Bible Note: Greetings Steve! God said that Job was upright and blameless (Job1:8). I think it is important to establish that this does not mean that he was without sin - for all of Adam's seed has sinned (Romans 3:23). However, because of his faith,Job was one to whom God imputed righteousness. How do you think his faith compares to the other patriarchs? I think I'd have to agree with God that indeed, there is no-one like him on the earth! I suspect that we have tended to focus more on the "sufferings" of Job rather than on his faith in God! "When you look at the scars left by the past, what do remember: the wounding or the healing?" (pbs 8/00) I anxious to dialog with Job too! Blessings, mommapbs |
