Subject: Desire for GOOD? |
Bible Note: Hello Rac, Sometimes idiots will have themselves “tied” up to a cross so they can experience what Jesus went through. That’s one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard of, with out a doubt! With all of the physical abuse that Jesus went through it was nothing compared to the point in time when he finally screamed out; Matthew 27:45-46 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour. [46] And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? I don’t believe that anyone could ever experience the pain and agony that Jesus went through when the sins of the world were poured out on him and judged! He had never known what it was like not to have fellowship with God, but God had to forsake His own Son because of sinners like you and me! Jesus knew in the garden when he prayed to the Father exactly what every second was going to be like on that cross and he was willing to take the wrath of God for sin on our behalf. When Jesus, the Son of God, hung on that cross He took our punishment. The Justice of God completely satisfied the Righteousness of God on our behalf, when God’s appointed Man, Jesus, hung there between heaven and earth he took God’s wrath. Praise the Lord, what a Saviour! Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 2 Cor. 5:18-21 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ, and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, [19] namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. [20] Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were entreating through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. [21] He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. If anyone reading this forum hasn’t put “all” of your faith and trust in Jesus Christ and what he did for you on the cross, I would beg of you right now that you would tell God the Father, in your own words, that from this point on you are relying and trusting completely in the finished work of Jesus! Have a great day in the Lord, CDBJ |
