Bible Question: 2Timothy 2:15 is a verse I paid little attention to particularly the last part "rightly dividing the word of truth" until recently when I started reviewing my bible study method. Why is it that so many ignore the fact that one needs to study dispensationally, dividing the Word correctly? Are we being disobedient by not doing so? |
Bible Answer: Greetings Ken "The Bible is a supernatural book and can be understood only by supernatural aid." A.W. Tozer The Holy Spirit is the best aid one can rely upon when doing any Bible study. To prayerfully ask for the Holy Spirit to guide and lead us in our personal time spent with God in His word is of utmost importance. The word does not say; “no man knows the things of God except the man who studies the Bible.” It does say; that no man knows the things of God except by the Holy Ghost. John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things. Any attempt to properly interpret Scripture without reliance upon the Holy Spirit's leading is bound to produce faulty interpretations. Trusting in the Holy Spirit is better than any method we could posibly produce Shalom New creature |
