Subject: Holy Spirit, holy spirit, or both? |
Bible Note: You have asked an interesting questions, however, if what I remember is correct 2 Tim. 3:16 states: "All scripute is inspired by God, (God breathed) and profitable for teaching..." The passages I listed in John are not mear statments of Jesus claiming to be "I am of the Godly, part of the family" He was making a statment, in which the Jews were going to stone Him. They knew He was claiming to be Almighty God, reread the scirptures. God the Father speaks often of different members of the Trinity, for instance in Gen. 1:26 He says: "Let US make man in OUR image, and in OUR likeness." You see in John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word WAS GOD." You also see in Jhn. 10:30 "I and the Father are one." You can argue with me all you want, however I believe the Word of God is the absolute athority, and all of it is accurate. If Christ, said he and the Father are one, he ment that He is God Almighty. Also you can argue the English language with me all day, however I would encourage you to learn Greek, and then read the text, I promise you what Christ is saying in those 14 I AM statments I listed, He is claiming to be God Almighty, Jehovah, and Yahweh. I'll keep you in my prayers. Paul Pastor/Founder: Blue Bonnet Ministries |
