Bible Note: Matt 18:14 So it is NOT the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones perish. Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come. We will be given chances to repent and turn back and change our ways all our lives. It is in Exodus, the story of God's continuing love and guidance. God will love us always and as long as we repent and turn to him, we will be led out. It is God's nature to forgive and to love. Any sin and any blasphemy shall be forgiven, if we turn from it and listen to the Holy Spirit, who leads away from our sins to God. So God can reach out to us and pull us along through HS. Check out the story of Exodus, how with every willingness to hear God, he led them further. They did sin and backslide, but this was not counted against them. DID GOD send them back to Egypt? No, He kept leading them. God had mercy and forgiveness on them (400 plus years) because God loves us. It is our decision if we feel like repenting or not. If we don't, we can't be saved. No one can drag us out of Egypt/Hell, out of our suffering. We need to be willing for the Holy Spirit to guide us, and if we hate the Holy Spirit, nothing is going to be able to save us from hell. When he says that we won't be forgiven, it does not mean out of anger or rejection. For God loves us and wants the best for us, just as a Father loves deeply his son, whether stay at home or strayed. Prodigal son. I am not making this up. We are not capable of being saved from our sins when we resist the Holy Spirit. For the Holy Spirit is God's loving FORGIVENESS sent to us. He would never hold back his forgiveness from us, Don't you see? prodigal son PLEASE keep in mind Christ's mission was to convince us of the LOVE of GOD. NOT of vengeance guilt and shame. So now read the quotes at the top again. You must hold the words "Christ loves me. Christ loves me" in your mind while reading them. Jesus is not out to condemn, but to help us. He is telling us that we can't be forgiven of our mistakes if we keep making them. And that we will keep being stuck in our mistakes until we beleive in the Holy Spirit. If I speak against the Holy Spirit, there is nothing in heaven that then can save me from myself, because I've made the decision not to accept forgiveness. Christ resides within us, but we cannot hear Him speak or follow Him unless we open our ears to the Holy Spirit, and trust in it. If we don't, that's our choice. But we must suffer the consequences- a life without leadership, a life without guidance, and eternity in our sins. But the most important point is that no one is denying salvation to you. You are denying it to yourself. For salvation is yours for the taking. Jesus forgave EVERYONE. Do you remember when he was hanging on the cross, did he say, I've never been one to practice love or forgiveness, but now I feel the love. Could he teach forgiveness so thoroughly, yet not live it? 22 Luke 23:34 But Jesus was saying, Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing. And they cast lots, dividing up His garments among themselves. My heavenly Father will also do the same to you, if each of you does not forgive his brother from your heart. Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your transgressions. -If all were forgiven then none would be judged I love this. It is in our judgment that we are forgiven. Judgment is not damnation, it is salvation. When we bring our anxious thoughts of our heart to the altar and lay them upon the table, and ask The Holy Spirit to look at our thoughts, and we look together at them with him, he is sure to transform them into God's truth, by the light. This is our forgiveness, our salvation, and our release from hell. Guilt is a condition of the fallen state, but we can be saved. Guilt IS Hell. When God told you to open that big book called the bible, it was because he was leading you to seek your own forgiveness. All thoughts must be looked at and seperated, the wheat kept and stored in your heart, the chaff flies away to the wind. It is poetic. THAT IS THE JUDGMENT! It is now, all the time, as we bring our fear, guilt, unworthy feelings to god to look at, he helps us to seperate them. Do not fear judgment, for it is where you will see your innocence.
