Subject: Questions I'm trying to answer |
Bible Note: Hi Jeff, Just for the record, I don't think "Bible codes" ADD anything to what is written in the plain text. I don't believe they can be used to prophesy events, or that they contain some "hidden message". Things like the Gospel spelled out in the names in Genesis 5, or the story of Jesus and the Church portrayed in Abraham sending his servent to get a gentile bride for Isaac (the details of the story read the same, just change the names), or YHVH repeated in ELS thoughout certain books of the OT, only mirror what is plainly seen. The person who does not see these things misses nothing that God tells us, because its all there plain to see. To me, it like God's fingerprint on His work. We'll know for sure in the Sweet Bye 'n' Bye, when we meet on that beautiful shore! There has been a fair amount of material posted on the forum about this, mostly saying how ridiculous it all is. If you read what Kalos recently posted, and what I have posted, I think you will find that to be representitive of what is in the archives, but then again, you may find more than I have seen. But like I said, really, just two cent's worth! Love in Christ, Mark |
