Bible Question (short): Modern Leviticus |
Question (full): So, if I'm reading this correctly, (and I might not be :-P) Jesus was sent here (partially) to help guide men away from the sillyness of the laws that were in place at the time; to let them know that loving God with all of your heart mind and spirit was more important than the laws themselves? What does that mean in modern terms? Obviously wearing cloth made of two different threads is something we all do, and back then was considered a sin. Is part of the reason Jesus died for us to alleviate the punishments of eternal sin from those actions that would be considered a violation of any one of those laws? |
