Subject: God's Regard for Cain's Offering? |
Bible Note: stoneslinger, Good to have you here. It states early on in Gods Word that without the shedding of blood there was no forgiveness of sin, I believe Gen 3:19 is strong evidence. What we can take away from this account of Cain and Abel is that Abbel brought his best before God while Cain did not. Fast forward to the present, God gave his best when He sent His Son for us. This says a whole lot about what the attitude of our hearts should be everyday as we offer up our lives to God. When I read the account of Cain and Abel I see the lengths at which God will go for his people. Cain could have and would have been right with God if he had only dealt with his heart and God left the door open for him to do so. Repententence is an amazing thing, it's to bad that we wait until we are faced with the consequences of our sin before we will wake up and smell the coffee. |
