AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was delightful to look at, and a tree to be desired in order to make one wise and insightful, she took some of its fruit and ate it; and she also gave some to her husband with her, and he ate. |
Bible Question (short): Again, was Adam there? |
Question (full): I realize the first rule for interpreting Scripture is to "read-it-like-it-is." The argument I was attempting to use is this: "If I were out with my wife, and someone attempted to get 'familiar' with her, the outcome would not be the same." Secondly, some other versions read that she took it to her husband. If Adam were there, at the exact instance that the conversation was going on, I contend that the situation would have been different. I also realize that other factors like, jealousy, envy, and those other things had not yet entered the picture. But, common sense, or unction, was clearly still on the scene. |
