NASB | Genesis 3:6 When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was delightful to look at, and a tree to be desired in order to make one wise and insightful, she took some of its fruit and ate it; and she also gave some to her husband with her, and he ate. |
Bible Question: As you can see from Genesis 3:6, Eve made a decision, based on faulty information, to do something against God's instructions. My question is this. Was Adam physically with her, in her and satan's presence, while satan was making his argument to her? I say no. |
Bible Answer: Where the word makes no reference that Satan spoke directly with Adam, in verse 6 it states she gave some unto her husband, who was with her: [6] "When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it." I hope that this is useful and answers your question. May God bless you indeed on this Christmas season. In His grip, David |
