NASB | Genesis 2:9 Out of the ground the LORD God caused to grow every tree that is pleasing to the sight and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 2:9 And [in that garden] the LORD God caused to grow from the ground every tree that is desirable and pleasing to the sight and good (suitable, pleasant) for food; the tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the [experiential] knowledge (recognition) of [the difference between] good and evil. [Rev 2:7; 22:14, 19] |
Bible Question:
Is there a difference between the tree of Life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil as stated in the scripture. I believe that these are two seperate trees but am willing to learn if they are the same if scriptural guilines are applicable. |
Bible Answer: Welcome to the Forum, Fool4Christ! There was a pretty extended discussion on the tree of life a while back. I enjoyed participating in that discussion. Type in "tree of life" in the the Quick Search box (top right corner of screen) and you'll eventually find that discussion. I disagree with danieln's answer, but I won't repeat here what I've already written. Again, do a Quick Search, and you'll find my posts. One is on the question, was man created mortal. Welcome again, and Peace |
