Subject: LAND FLOWING WITH MILK AND HONEY |
Bible Note: No I did not say that they were dis-obedient. The word does not specifically say that the angel of the Lord or Gabriel actually ate. It does not say that. They ate does not say that they ALL ate and drank butter and milk You have to realize that Abraham was in the desert and what he ate he had to carry being nomadic in lifestyle. I imagine that they drank milk because they were starving in the desert. Not because it was necessarily ordained by God. I do not believe that milk being consumed is anywhere else in scriptures, unless you know of some other place that specifically says "Man should drink the milk of animals of different species than themselves." Even Genesis 9 does not say to drink the milk. It says to eat the meat. In terms of Matthew 15: does not mean to throw away all that he has told us to do. It means that to defile by spoken word is worst--but that does not mean that we as Christians should throw away all caution to wisdom in terms of what we eat either. I suggest that you read the book: Milk The Deadly Poison to open your eyes to how unclean milk is these days--full of (honestly)pus, chemicals, growth hormones, etc. We HAVE to remember that we are the temple of God--our bodies should be considered sacred. That means with knowledge we should walk in wisdom. Yes we should abstain just based on this.Based on love. The GREATEST COMMANDMENT is love. If we ignore this and continue to treat animals in the manner we have been then we are guilty of supporting the breaking of the law of love--the least of HIS creatures. I imagine that not many would support this just because their flesh loves ice cream, milk, etc. Not because they don't see the wisdom of this. Many have taken that the land of milk and honey to mean we should drink milk...maybe more than you know. Thanks for adding thoughts into this. Always good to study the word of God. He calls us into a higher accountability...once we know the truth and have revelation about it--He expects us to walk into the newness of life--health. |
