Bible Note: The "Lord" in this case was not a normal human man --so the "Lord" in this case DID NOT EAT anything. THEY is referring to those in the flesh who were there to eat. Where does it say that the LORD ate? It says "THEY ATE". Who is "they". It is not specific enough to actually say that the LORD eat. We are talking here about an angel of the Lord appearing--which could have been Gabriel. It was obvious in the wording that Abraham was suprised, to say the least, by the presence of this "angel of the Lord". We cannot assume anything, especially since it clearly says at the beginning of the Bible in Genesis 1:29 what human beings are to eat. |
