Bible Question: I believe all of what is said in these verses, what I want to know is it mental consent alone? because the devils believe in Jesus Christ. |
Bible Answer: The Bible is Right I just researched this answer for another person and I think what your looking for is Titus 2:11-15 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, [12] teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, [13] looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, [14] who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. [15] Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you. NKJV We are saved by grace because we believe in Jesus Christ, but saving grace produces in us, the desire to deny ungodliness, and worldly lust, to live soberly, righteously and Godly. Looking for and longing for the blessed hope of our Great Saviors return. If these aren’t present in our lives then saving grace isn’t present. Therefore our belief in Christ is nothing more that head knowledge rather than saving knowledge. This is what James is saying this is what Paul is saying there is no conflict. EdB |
