Bible Question: Is there a reason God created light before he created Heaven? |
Bible Answer: phruu: "In the beginning God (Elohim) created (bara) the heaven and the earth. In other words the triunne God created (bara) from nothing the heaven and earth. I notice that heaven is a plural word. I believe that the heaven or the abode of God already existed. In verse 8 "And God called the firmament Heaven. Heaven in this verse is a dual word according to my Newbury Study Bible and refers to the heavens above us, but not to the third heaven which in 2 Cor. 12:2-4 is referred to the third heaven or paradise. What were your thoughts on this? Robert. |
