Bible Note: Hi freebyrd, I believe that God is the Light also, and to be consistent I would have liked to have seen you capitalize "He has always existed". He has always existed but He has not always been VISIBLE. In Genesis the lesser and greater lights were made. They were for light or "light-bearers". He made the stars also. In the Incarnation, the Light of the world had come in the likeness of men. Jesus came as light and was visible, and was indeed the Light of the world when He was in the world. We believe in the unique Son of God. John 3:19, 1995 NASB, "This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone who does evil hates the (Light), and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God." The 1995 copyright of the NASB has made this change of "light" to "Light" for John 3:19-21 and I agree with them. From the heart, Ray |
