AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 1:26 ¶ Then God said, "Let Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness [not physical, but a spiritual personality and moral likeness]; and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, and over the entire earth, and over everything that creeps and crawls on the earth." Bible Note: Are you saying that babies come out of the womb with sin in their lives? Maybe the scripture is silent on the subject because it's common sense. Paul said, death spread to all men because ALL SINNED. You'll have to prove to me 1st that a 1 year old child can commit sin. Looking over those scriptures you quoted, I cannot find where men are born sinners, I see where death spread to all men BECAUSE ALL SINNED. Paul is very clear that "where there is no law, sin is not held against man." vs 13 As far as God making exceptions, He is no respecter of persons. Let me give you another veiw point to add to your 3 main views. Paul was refering to a time in his life when he was not spiritually separated from God. And when he understood the commandment, the nature of his flesh which was passed down from Adam arose and took advantage of the commandment and killed him. Thereby teaching him that he needed a savior. Paul says in Rom 2:14-15 that those without the law are a law unto themselves. And their consciences bear witness, accusing or excusing them. Babies must of necessity have clean consciences. Or they would go straight to hell. All men will sin (because of the nature passed down from Adam) and thereby need a savior. I'm not disagreeing with you on that. I think it is a bit much to appl Rom 5 and eph 2 to babies. This is a subject that i've heard quite a bit. In the seventies it was called the age of accountability. I haven't heard much about it since then. |
