AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 1:2 The earth was formless and void or a waste and emptiness, and darkness was upon the face of the deep [primeval ocean that covered the unformed earth]. The Spirit of God was moving (hovering, brooding) over the face of the waters. |
Subject: Is Genesis 1:2 the fall of satan? |
Bible Note: Hi Hank and All, I looked through these and pretty interesting reading. However I'm surprised that no one took the time to hear what Appleseed was saying in Love. So to honour you here are the scriptural references to where I think Appleseed was going. It is like a puzzle (like revelations) when we put it together then we can see. So here are the scriptural text to answer. However before I do here, I too have sought out in the Word of God to seek the truth and avoid tradition like the plaque. This leads me to believe that Bible talks about life that existed before Adam and Eve (higher probability it existed based on scripture than not). There was nations that existed (non human like beings and not Angels) these where under the rule of Lucifer. These beings are what we call demons (they lost their physical bodies in the destruction and thus seek bodies to possess). If it was only Gen. 1:2 then it would be a stretch to assume this so here are the others. I'm yet to find one person that can answer the timeline of these events without talking about a preadamic world. I'm sharing this to help improve our understanding of the scripture because what Appleseed is saying is not unfounded. So due to space I'm going to put it in form of questions and will put it over 2 postings. 1) When was this that Job was referring to in Job 9:5-9 and 26:5-12? We know he was pointing out the magnificense of God, the events actuall took place and he described it in simple terms, when were these events? What is the probability based on context and literal events that it is the exact same sequence of events described in Genesis? Job said, "God removes the mountains, and they do not know when He overturns them in His anger; He shakes the earth out of its place, and its pillars tremble; He commands the sun, and it does not rise; He seals off the stars" (Job 9:5-7). This has not happened since Adam and will not happen, not even in the tribulation period. Then Job highlights that God stopped the light and then later made the light shine again, Gen. 1:3. Then Job goes on to describe Gen. 1:2-5. "He alone spreads out the heavens, and treads on the waves of the sea; He made the Bear, Orion, and the Pleiades, and the chambers of the south" (Job 9:7-9). Exact same sequence of events as Gen. 1:2-7, amazing. 2) When was Lucifer in the Garden of Eden and still working for the LORD - he was perfect in Eden (that was before he tempted Eve - so when)? Lucifer is known as the King of Tyre and Babylon was in the physical world before Adam and Eve, revived in the spiritual world after Adam and Eve gave their authority over to sin, thereby indirectly to Satan. Babylon in the spiritual world will be cast down at the end of the great tribulation (Rev. 14:8; 17:1-7). The LORD God said to the son of man, tell Lucifer, "You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering: the sardius, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes was prepared for you on the day you were created. You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; you were on the holy mountain of God; you walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones" (Ezek. 28:12-14). Lucifer was perfect in Eden. We know that he was not perfect when Adam was there so when did God create Lucifer? If you say after Gen. 1:7 and before Gen. 1:25 then where does it say so or even still it was alot of activity and shouldn't have defected because God said everything was good and if he defected before Gen. 1:25 then it wouldn't be good. Back then Lucifer was the best-looking angel, or else God would not have mentioned how beautiful he was. By his physical composition he was created to praise God, what an incredible honor (would have been a very short praise :). See next postion for 3-8. In love because we need to be in unity Eph. 4. |
