Subject: Restoration of a fallen Pastor |
Bible Note: Dear mommapbs, Thank you for your insight. We have a meeting set for 11:30 tomorrow with Pastor. It will be two men from the board. How we pray he will be honest and repentent. We are all ready to forgive him, and welcome him back into the fold. To us, it isn't about our feelings, he is no less a man than the rest of us, we all fall short of the mark in one way or many, but it is about restoring him to fellowship with the Lord. I keep looking at Peter, and David, God forgave and restored them, and allowed them to continue in leadership. I am trying to get some feel for where this other pastor is coming from, saying our pastor can never be restored to a place of leadership, as I can't find it in the Word. Perhaps that is a denominational guidline. I just can't come up with any Biblical cases where that would apply if the leader was truly repentent. We live in a valley full of false religion, things I had never even heard of before we moved here. And we daily are beaten up by the devil, we so want God to be restored to the throne of this valley, and don't know how all of this can be used for His glory, but we do know He promises to turn all things to good for those who love Him and are called according to His purposes. We trust Him. We just pray we will hear Him in this. Our little church family is abounding with love, as I have never seen a church before. So he and his family have been loved during this whole time, and we will continue to love them through it. He is family, and this church doesn't shoot our wounded, we embrace them with the love of the Lord. It is an awesome group of folks. Again, thanks for your insight, and your prayers the verses you mentioned are the ones we were led to also. The Lord bless you and your family. At His Feet |
