62 | is it okay to have sex before preaching | Bible general Archive 4 | azurelaw | 194928
Dear pberardi, First of all, welcome to the forum. In your previous post, you said : However it is a personal belief that a pastor should be single... Could you please show me the scripture that requires a pastor single as I cannot find such relevant verse. What I have found is 1 Cor 7:1-7 where Paul addressed his personal preference to be single. Be a person married or single, it is God's GIFT (verse 7). Another verse found in 1 Cor 7:25 Now concerning virgins I have no command of the Lord, but I give an opinion as one who by the mercy of the Lord is trustworthy. Paul stated that that (from v25-40) was not a command of the Lord. But he shared his opinion with the believers. Back to my understanding concerning Adam and Eve, I agree with you that God does not want Adam to be alone (Gen 2:18), but we should not forget the following verses especially v21-24. v24 ...be joined to his wife; and they shall BECOME ONE FLESH. (my emphasis in caps) I believe a married believer can still devote himself/herself to God if he/she follows what Paul has taught in Eph 5:22-33 and of course His Word. Should I have misunderstood anything, I am open to correction. Shalom Azure |

Dear Yonderful--, Do a word search with "Benny Hinn" on your upper right hand corner of the screen to see the past discussions concerning this false teacher. You may also type ID 5162 which directs you to a thread discussing "slain by the spirit". It is quite obvious that your posts are promoting the theology of this false teacher which violates the below terms of use, thus causing the Lockman's exercising its control. Meanwhile, as what has brother Doc stated, this is a study bible forum, your tendency to promote your own political stand is not within the scope of the forum's purpose. * Postings must be Biblically based and not opposing the Bible's sole authority (sola Scriptura), Christianity, or the deity of Jesus Christ. * Limit content that contains known denominational biases that produce potential strife and undue conflict. * Do not push your denominational bias or engage in debates. Shalom Azure |

68 | Jesus unheard of in the old testament!!! | Bible general Archive 4 | azurelaw | 195585
Dear MLove, I don't know what kind of forum you have been engaged with previously. However, I have noticed that the dialogue of your respondent does not provide any scriptural reference. I believe if we are to discuss issues concerning the Bible, we have to always refer to the scriptures. Therefore, in your situation as such, it could result in endless non-productive debate with this skeptic. Shalom Azure |

69 | What do we learn from praying | Bible general Archive 4 | azurelaw | 195800
Mat 6:9-15, 26:39, Mark 17, Act 7:60 What a privilege is "praying" granted to us by our most gracious God! So, what do we learn from praying... - to be submissive and obedient - to trust - to examine ourselves - to forgive - to ask for forgiveness - to humble ourselves - to love More inputs and enlightenment are VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. Shalom Azure |

72 | Ecclesiastes, Matthew, NOW WHAT? | Bible general Archive 4 | azurelaw | 195819
Dear Sister Val, I join with Brother John for a belate welcome. In fact, I have been reading your posts since you join and I am so grateful to see your love to our Lord expressed in your written words. I really love what you stated : My good friends might tell me what the letter says, but I have to see it firsthand for myself. Keep breaking bread and share with us. We love you, dear sister. Shalom Azure Psalm 133 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, Coming down upon the beard, Even Aaron's beard, It is like the dew of Hermon Coming down upon the mountains of Zion; For there the LORD commanded the blessing--life forever. |

75 | A prophet | Bible general Archive 4 | azurelaw | 196053
Jeremiah 18:18, 26:8 Jeremiah was being persecuted by many and even at edge of death for his prophesying which the people claimed as false. I want to know what was the status of a prophet at the time of Jeremiah's. In Ch 27 v1-15, what Jeremiah said appeared to show him a betrayer (base on a national perspective). It is interesting to see those priests and other prophets did not charge Jeremiah for his betrayal discourse, but false prophesying. Your input and enlightenment is appreciated. Shalom Azure |

76 | Advise me please (Galatians 6:1) | Bible general Archive 4 | azurelaw | 196507
Dear Cious, My heart aches when I read your post. I agree with Brother Tim's advice to you. May I offer you the below scripture as encouragement. Eph 5:8-10 for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light (for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. I will pray for you. Shalom Azure |

Dear One River, Welcome to the forum. Great answer! I am a bit confused. Are you in association with user Shikaratane (i.e. husband or wife?). If so, it is good to see you register under separate accounts to avoid confusion. By the way, it would be also appreciated that if you could fill in more information about yourself on your user profile. God's blessings to you. Shalom Azure |

79 | missing pages? | Bible general Archive 4 | azurelaw | 196945
Dear Michael, I would not recommend the disposal of a bible only because of some missing pages. It can be well re-cycled and usable by breaking it down to individual books as we have seen those being sold on the market in thin and handy books of the NT separately. You might just add the covers to it by DIY so that you can carry it along during travel for your convenient study on the individual books. **Just imagine : there are thousands and thousands of people who have not read a single page of Bible nor even heard of it. Shalom Azure |
