63 | Wait on the Lord! | Is 40:31 | khuck | 104570
Hello Dear Readers, As you know I took a little hiatus a total fast and prayer fest. I was feeling a bit tired I think. But tuning out everything and taking in for food and water, the Word alone, the Bread of Life, I must tell you I feel like more than a conquerer! So I just wanted to submit a verse of encouragement. Because we all get a bit weary from time to time, but God never will! Isaiah 40:28 -31 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. I feel marvelous! -Kathy |

64 | Where in Daniel that supports this? | Daniel | khuck | 103748
Hi Makarios, The question was a part of a different thread. I was interested also, therefore I hope you can be of assistance here. The original post and answer that Kyd37 is: Question: What month was Jesus born in? Answer: kyd37 Since the exact date is not stated in the Bible everthing is conjecture. However secular history and to fulfill prophecy in Daniel suggests a Sept birth. His conception could very well have been in the later part of Dec. |

65 | Where in Daniel that supports this? | Daniel | khuck | 103758
Thank you Makarios, That was pretty complete. I often have a big explaining to do during December, because I have always contended that we are not celebrating His "birth date" but the fact that He came into the world. But I have never looked into the real probability that this date would be consistent with the Holy Conception of the Lord. Thank you for shedding great Light on this. (Please do not take this to be an argument, please don't) I have one more question. In September there is a Jewish Holy Day called the The Feast of Trumpets or Rosh Hashanah, I have not studied this in depth although I believe it to be the anniversary of the creation. I have often heard (having no opinion but now a great interest) that this day has much to do in accordance with the Christ and that many believe it has some regard to his return. Can I impose upon you to share any insight that you may have regarding this Feast or Holy Day? Please know that there is no malicious intent, just a healthy curiosity. God Bless and keep you is my prayer, -Kathy |

Dearest Makarios, Thank you so much! I did read the references that you posted and found both chapters of Joel to be very much in line with regathering Israel. And God's ability to save us. (although it seems mostly from ourselves (chuckle) Even after all of these years it is wonderful to me when I see the word confirm itself. The Feast of Trumpets has always been over my head (obviously) when put in regard to the Church. I do not know why I was told that it was a creation issue, but now I have a whole other area to study. I have a lot of questions when it comes to Judaism, and it's customs, because I oftentimes find them linking to Jesus. Thank you again for shedding Light... -Kathy |

67 | Did OT saints go to heaven? | Dan 12:2 | khuck | 102822
Answer Part #1 First you ask if I believed the following... which I take to mean the verses that you quoted. (I belief every Word that proceeds from God's Mouth) I believe the final chapter of the Bible concerning end time events to come in order as John wrote them. I will show you in this 3 part answer why, I believe that the Church will be saved from the Great Tribulation. As far as satan's wrath vs. God's wrath question, I believe these signs after the scrolls, trumpets and golden bowls to be God's righteous judgements and wrath. Starting at Rev. Chapter 6 reading through to Chapter 20 notice that John relays the order in which things will happen by using the words, "And then I Saw..." also he numbers events (ie. 7 scrolls opened by the Lamb, 7 trumpets blown by 7 angels, and the bowls of God's wrath) An event happens after each thing is done, after each scroll is opened one by one... next as each trumpet is sounded one by one and then after the golden bowls of "GOD'S WRATH" are poured out. Rev 6 -The Lamb opens 6 of 7 scrolls Rev 7 -Before the 7th seal is opened these 2 events take place, 144,000 are sealed 1 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree. 2Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: 3"Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God." 4Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel. ---And next appearing before the throne are those who have washed the robes in the blood of the Lamb. (Justified and found faultless by no doing of their own, but by their acceptance of the Free gift of salvation and redemption through the blood sacrifice of the Lamb) "The Church is invited to the Wedding Supper as the Bride" 9 After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their ands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice: Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb."11 All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying: "Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!" 13Then one of the elders asked me, "These in white robes--who are they, and where did they come from?" 14 I answered, "Sir, you know." 15 And he said, "These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore, "they are before the Throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them. 16 Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat upon them, nor any scorching heat. 17 For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes." Rev 8-9 ---After the sealing of the 144,000 and the Church are securely before His throne, now the Lamb opens the seal of the 7th scroll. After about 30 minutes of silence the angels with the seven trumpets appear and one angel with a golden censer. Next the angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all the saints, on the golden altar before the throne. The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of the saints, went up before God from the angel's hand. Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake. Then natural disasters follow each of the first 6 trumpets sounded. To be continued in 2nd post. –khuck |

Answer Part #2 Rev 10 - After the 6th trumpet had been sounded an angel appeared with a small scroll. Before the 7th trumpet was blown: 6 And he (the angel) swore by him who lives for ever and ever, who created the heavens and all that is in them, the earth and all that is in it, and the sea and all that is in it, and said, "There will be no more delay! 7 But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets." 8 Then the voice that I had heard from heaven spoke to me once more: "Go, take the scroll that lies open in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land." 9 So I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, "Take it and eat it. It will turn your stomach sour, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey." 10 I took the little scroll from the angel's hand and ate it. It tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it, my stomach turned sour. 11Then I was told, "You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages and kings." Rev 11 - The 2 witnesses appear and after that the 7th trupmet is blown. 15 The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever." 16 And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, 17 saying: "We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign. 18 The nations were angry; and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your saints and those who reverence your name, both small and great--and for destroying those who destroy the earth." 19 Then God's temple in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant. And there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake and a great hailstorm. Rev 12 - The Woman and the Dragon (note the Church has overcome) 10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. 11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. 12 Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short." Rev 13 -7 He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. 8 All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast--all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world. 16 He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, 17so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. 18 This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666. to be continued in 3 post –khuck |

Answer Part #3 These I believe to be the O.T. Saints (personal belief)THE VERY NEXT WORDS ARE THESE Rev 14 -1 Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads. 2And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters and like a loud peal of thunder. The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps. 3And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth. 4These are those who did not defile themselves with women, for they kept themselves pure. They follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were purchased from among men and offered as firstfruits to God and the Lamb. 5No lie was found in their mouths; they are blameless. ----After this Son of Man harvests the earth - the tabernacle of the Testimony is opened - Out of the temple came the seven angels with the seven plagues and the were given seven golden bowls filled with the wrath of God. Revelation 16 - the six bowls of God's judgement is poured out upon mankind and the earth and after the 7th bowl is emptied: 17 The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, "It is done!" 18 Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since man has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake. 19 The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath. 20 Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found. 21 From the sky huge hailstones of about a hundred pounds each fell upon men. And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible. Revelation 17 - The woman and the beast v.5 This title was written on her forehead: MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. Rev 18 - Fall of Babylon Rev 19 - Meanwhile at the Lamb's Wedding Supper... the saints are praising and worshipping God. v.9 Then the angel said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!' " And he added, "These are the true words of God." The appears The King of Kings! 11 I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war. 12 His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. 13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. 14 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. "He will rule them with an iron scepter." He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. 16 On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. Rev 20 – Satan is bound and locked in the abyss - 1 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. 2 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. 3 He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time. ----Then the Millenium Reign and the dead will be judged… those who came to Christ through the great tribulation. --Satan is released and defeated - --The remaining dead will be judged This is the order in which I feel these things will happen just as it is written -khuck |

70 | Did OT saints go to heaven? | Dan 12:2 | khuck | 102847
The NIV is the translation that I often most use, but I love King James the best! Of course on this forum I am using NIV. I am wrong and your are correct regarding 7 seals. AND might I add... I err in my posting of seven seals for seven scrolls. (Which is an important point) Yet I wrote all of that posting to actually say that I believe that the Body of Christ will be raptured after the sixth seal is opened (broken) and before the seventh. I apologize for the error in my post. Hopefully I did not throw anyone else off of the mark of my objective. I maintain that the great multitude of every nation standing before the throne is the Church. As for me I believe the Great Tribulation takes place after the breaking of the seventh seal... I personally believe the trials faced during the breaking of the 1st five seals are the times we now endure. Why would the Church face God's wrath when they are the righteous of God in Christ. Christ has already endured the penalty of their iniquities. I believe those who endure the plagues in the 7 bowls and those who lived through the tyranny of the anti-christ and beast, called upon the named of the Lord and gave Him His due glory after the rapture. Now I am not responding to say my belief that these are the order of the events, should be yours, I was just responding to a question posed to me, which was; "what do I believe?" And this is really what I believe. -khuck PS I will say that the original post has me totally engrossed in the study of the book of Revelation to the point of re-thinking one of the points that I made... and you have pushed me to search even moreso. Being that it has been quite sometime since I really gave it more than a compulsory reading over... I deem this to be a good thing. Thank you |

73 | Love God or Fear God? | Matt 1:21 | khuck | 104667
I really believe that it is not FEAR that the Bible is referring to but REVERENCE or RESPECT. I never feared my parents, but you better believe I had a healthy respect for their rules and I was aware of the retribution that would come when I disobeyed them. But if I truly feared my parents... I would not have gotten into so much trouble, I would have been too afraid of them to do anything wrong. (smile) -Kathy |

Greetings Jlpangilnan, I wrote some brief comments from this article in another thread. But there is a certain order that should be followed before we castigate, rebuff or expel a fellow Church member. And though I do not disagree with any verse or scripture that you have posted here to substantiate your beliefs, I would say that there are many others on how we are to judge, when we judge, and the actions that the Church should take when these judgements are made. Therefore I will not crowd the message board with this entire article, but if you sincerely seek this information, I would earnestly suggest that you read: Church Discipline http://www.bible.org/docs/theology/eccles/churdisc.htm All things done in the Body should be done decently and in order. The Word does entreat us to follow a certain order in these matters. Your fellow Truth seeker, -khuck |

76 | What think ye of Christ? | Matt 22:42 | khuck | 105033
Dearest Noble, I promise you the answer that I rendered to your query was from my heart, and experiences. It was not from any resource or scripture, but it composed of thoughts from my personal walk with Jesus. I know that my responses are often misunderstood on the forum, or sometimes considered words from experts, expounders, and commentators. Yet I am at a loss, I can think of no clearer way to express from "my heart" what I think of The Christ. I can only say that the words that I posted were from NO SONG, SCRIPTURE, OR RESOURCE MATERIAL. They were earnestly from my heart. In which case it leaves me to wonder if maybe it is not possible to answer this question satisfactorily. So I therefore turn the tables on you (in Love) and ask you, "What do you think about the One who is called Christ?" Always your servant in Christ, -Kathy |

77 | What think ye of Christ? | Matt 22:42 | khuck | 105043
Noble: "OOOPSY?" (smile) I understand and apologize for misunderstanding post. But, in view of all I have forwarded this thread ID and the initial request to The Lockman Foundation. I am just curious enough to want to give those accountable for such decisions if one should be given a chance to respond. Hope you don't mind. -Kathy |

Addition: Noble... I did not use email at the bottom of the page, but I did foward it to: nasb@lockman.org which was the email given under the option "Contact us at" on the page at URL: http://www.studybibleforum.com/about.php Not to discount EdB's suggestion, if you should choose to directly contact, the owners of this site, you may want to use both options. Nothing beats a failure, like a try:) God bless your Noble endeavor! -Kathy |

Hi EdB :) I do not understand what you are asking me? I felt that your suggestion should not be discounted and I added to that another (similar to yours) which the poster may find helpful. Not having meant to come off as contrary. Let me once again apologize to you if it came across that way. Sincerely I found no problem at all in your response. Yours in Christ, -Kathy |

80 | What think ye of Christ? | Matt 22:42 | khuck | 105091
Hi EdB :) I have no need to contact anyone, about anything. But as you obviously agree, the post would not serve any particular purpose on the the thread if Lockman never sees it... and therefore like you I felt the post should be sent directly to lockman, therefore I not only gave Noble an email address to do so, as did you... but I also forwarded the post. Believing that in all fairness (as I told Noble) if Lockman representatives are being posed a question in which a response may be given they should have at least an opportunity to see the question. I have not promoted going to Lockman anymore than you yourself. So I really don't get it? As far as me having a problem with anything as in the past you are mistaken... there is nothing posted to this thread where I have indicated that I have a problem with you... Lockman Foundation, Noble, or anyone.... where do you get these ideas about me. Well in the interest of peace let me once again reiterate from the Heart... I have no intention of insulting or offending you in any capacity and if I have done so please charge it to my head and not to my heart. I apologize. Sincerely yours in Christ, -Kathy |
