61 | rev.7:4 | Revelation | Searcher56 | 229121
God's day to you, biblicalman, I disagree. It is clear to me that Revelation 7:3-8 is referring to Israel alone and not the church. Verse 9 continues "great multitude which no one could count" probably is the chrurch. I think about they were thinking about Romans 9- 11 ... including they/we were grafted in. The church is not Israel ... for she still has to undergo a few more things told in the Bible. Searcher |

God's day to you, MAC702, Revelation 7:4 says "from every tribe of the sons of Israel" ... and 12 tribes are listed. Since the Bible doesn't say why Ephraim and Dan are not listed and Levi and Joseph is, I am not going to guess. Check out the following to see the different listing in the Bible: http://catholic-resources.org/Bible/History-12Tribes.htm ... you'll see who is omitted Searcher |

God's day to you, biblicalman, You responded to Holmes by saying "There was no command to build the Temple in Ezekiel." ... Holmes only said "This temple is described beginning in Ezek 40." The Millennial Temple of Ezekiel are in chapters 40-48, as well as Joe 3:18; Isa 2:3, 60:13; Dan 9:24; Hag 2:7,9. If this Temple was not built, how will it come to being? Searcher |

68 | Different beliefs and salvation | John 3:16 | Searcher56 | 228240
Julie, I have a question/comment on "I haven't made any disciples yet". No one that I have led to Christ or that I disciple is "my" disciple. They are disciples of the Lord. That was an issue Corinth (1Co 1:10-17). While we should all witness, some have a spiritual gift of leading others to Chirst. Some of the gifts are listed in the Bible (Rom 12:6-8, 1Co 12:4-6, Eph 4:11). There are some, including myself, who think the lists are not exhaustive. If you haven't led anyone to the Lord, live your life - let them see the Gospel, as opposed to preaching it. If you want to disciple someone, find a younger believer ... and grow as you disciple. Hope this helps, Searcher |

69 | Exactly what does Mark 15:42 mean | Mark 15:42 | Searcher56 | 228235
Scripture ... Mark 11:1-2 "As they approached Jerusalem, at Bethphage and Bethany, near the Mount of Olives, He sent two of His disciples, and said to them, 'Go into the village opposite you, and immediately as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, on which no one yet has ever sat; untie it and bring it here'"" ... God's day to you, biblicalman, Even if the spent the night at the Mount of Olives (I think they started before that point since I read they "approached" it) the two disciples vilolated since they had to go to "the village opposite you" and back. Jesus would not have asked them to violate the Sabbath. Maps are great - just because New Bible Dictionary doesn't use them, others do. This is my last time refuting you, Searcher |

71 | Exactly what does Mark 15:42 mean | Mark 15:42 | Searcher56 | 228204
God's day to you, biblicalman, Mark 11:1 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives (cf Luke 19:28) ... and verse 11 says they returned to Bethany. So even if they start out from Bethany (John 12:1, 12), and it was a Sabbath's day journey to Jerusalem, how could they have returned? As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives (Matt 21:1) ... verse 17 says they went to Bethany. I believe that the Mount of Olives itself was a Sabbath's day journey (Acts 1:12), but the city of Bethany was futher (John 11:18). Searcher |

God's day to you, John Ryals, The phrase "three days and three nights" does not mean have to mean 72 hours, it could mean a portion of the first day, like Thursday and a portion of the last night, like Saturday-to-Sunday. If He died on Wednesday, what day did He enter (Matt 21:1-17, Mark 11:1-11, Luke 19:28-46, John 12:12-18)? - If Sunday, then there aren't enough days/nights - If Saturday (to get the days/nights in), He violated the Sabbath Moreover, how do you handle "it was three ago"? This is one of the best documents on the day He died: http://www.loriswebs.com/lorispoetry/crucifix.html Searcher |

God's day to you, Doc, The heart wants to give the 100. The reason for numbers is budget. Give to the Lord off the top ... tho the tax man takes his cut first. If there is less comes in, need to figure how to budget. Ask for help for food and other needful items. It is tough - but it is being contented and trusting. It should be done without any fanfare. Also, it was a promise to God, according my friend. S |
