42 | God all knowing-Heaven or hell | Acts 2:38 | lionheart | 226380
puppytoes, God is all knowing but that doesn't infer that he chooses one person to go to heaven and another hell. It doesn't work that way. What matters is how an individual will respond to the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. God knows how people will respond, but people will hear the gospel just the same. It's how people will respond to our Lord when the truth is shared with them. Acts 2:38, Ro 10:9,10, Jn 3:16. In Him, lionheart |

God created man to have fellowship with him and that fellowship was meant to be everlasting,it was sin that broke that fellowship but God did and does provide a way for us Romans 6:23, Jn 3:16. 51 | losing salvation | 1 John | lionheart | 225513
christbeliever7, First of all welcome to the forum we're glad to have you with us. We see throughout the Gospels Jn 3:16 for example where it says life everlasting or eternal life. Salvation isn't something that can be lost. People don't lose their salvation,you don't lose your salvation. People can and do turn their backs on God and walk away from Him. But there is good news. We can repent and God does forgive. When we refer to those who walk away oft time we are talking about those who choose to continue in their sin rather than repent. Take a good look at the Gospels,spend some time in Romans and 1John. I think this will give you a better understanding of what you have and it will help build your faith. In Him, lionheart |

52 | Was he cut into at his death? | Is 53:5 | lionheart | 225444

53 | The significance of Communion | 1 Cor 10:14 | lionheart | 225440
Ed, In relation to Acts 15:29 it's important to note that animal sacrifice was practiced my many of the pagan religions of that day. I don't know if that has application today. But your reference to taking communion with unconfessed and I will say unresolved sin as well as an unworthy manner which can mean as you say in an ignorant manner is right on. I might say though that I don't know that any of us will fully understand the full significance of all this until we stand before God. I think there are times though when we take communion when we come to God with a blase attitude or where are hearts are simply not there then we definitely have a problem. In Him, lionheart |

54 | God can't die or look on sin! | Matt 27:46 | lionheart | 225395
CDBJ, Well let me take a stab at this. Two things come to mind for me. First the weight of baring all of mankind's sin and even more crushing was being separated from the Father. Up to this point Jesus had never been separated from the father. The immensity of this is unimaginable. In Him, lionheart |
||||||
55 | Did God have to be Reminded of His Promi | Genesis | lionheart | 224610
barret, Greetings and welcome to the forum. First of all it will help to go back and do a little review. Genesis 32 and 33 give acount of Gods giving of the Ten commandments and the peoples response. So with all that in mind I'll say this. God didn't need to be reminded of his promise he was and is quite aware of them. The people were into major sin and of course God was majorly piqued. Now here is God's man Moses who has been making intercession for the people. Thats what our Lord does for us today. Moses didn't have to remind God of anything. What he did was to stand faithfull to God and his promises. In Him, lionheart |

56 | Arguing Among Apostles?? | Gal 2:11 | lionheart | 224583
Inquisitor, Good day to yah. Receiving revelation from God doesn't guarantee that anyone isn't gonna sin. In Peter's case his sin was quite public and it had to have major impact on those who were new disciples Jew and Gentile. So it was important that the record be set straight publicly. This was important for everyone as well as Peter himself. In Him, lionheart |

57 | Isaiah 53 Who are they reffering to? | Isaiah | lionheart | 224529
eascusa, My question for you would be why this couldn't be about Jesus. There are a number of messianic references and prophecies through out the Old Testament. In Him, lionheart |
||||||
58 | Why do we follow rules taught by men? | 2 Pet 1:20 | lionheart | 224347
findrichard, Welcome to the forum. First of all a couple of scriptures. 2 Iim 2:15 and 2 Pt 1:20,21. These are bedrock scriptures when it comes to how we handle God's Word. People take things out of context, twist scripture to make it say whatever they want to say and unfortunately this goes on everyday. As 2 Timothy says, we gotta accurately handle God's Word. In Him, lionheart |

59 | Disobey Elders? | Rom 13:1 | lionheart | 224232
gphilipp00, Welcome to the forum. The question I would have for you here would be where are they wrong and how. What would be a scriptural basis if any for doing this. There can be a fine line between what is scriptural and what ones own feelings or oppinion may be. Generous application of 2 Ti 2:15 and 2 Pt 1:20,21 is important here. In Him, lionheart |
