Bible Question:
Moses, in Exodus 34:1-10 Went up into the mountain to meet with the Lord. Why did he have to remind God of the promise made with his people? |
Bible Answer: barret, Greetings and welcome to the forum. First of all it will help to go back and do a little review. Genesis 32 and 33 give acount of Gods giving of the Ten commandments and the peoples response. So with all that in mind I'll say this. God didn't need to be reminded of his promise he was and is quite aware of them. The people were into major sin and of course God was majorly piqued. Now here is God's man Moses who has been making intercession for the people. Thats what our Lord does for us today. Moses didn't have to remind God of anything. What he did was to stand faithfull to God and his promises. In Him, lionheart |
