2821 | Is pre-tribulation biblical? | Revelation | justme | 173528
Doc: I am of the opinion that too much time and effort is spent attempting to prove that their understanding of the Rapture and end times is correct. I have often seen, a display of just how much more spiritual, and how much more knowledge a person has, by how loud or fast a person can defend their position on the Rapture. This display of puffed up knowledge, goes against the teachings of Jesus! How sad we don't attempt to out love one another. This topic of the Rapture and end times has allowed the evil one to show just how carnal we can get with each other. I dount any of us will ever study Scripture sufficently to argue any point, that in the end we lose our love for each other. Blessings Doc. Justme |

CDBJ:-) Thanks for taking the time to write such a in depth note. I was not sure where you stood and I do not mean to offend anyone. I try to allow for dialgue, when I do not know if someone is very soild on a position, I would prefer to look for common grounds than fuss over an issue that does not effect ones Salvation. It is clear to me that when Jesus says when things seem really bad, that even thenit might not be "yet". Blessings CDBJ. PS on all other forums I go by Farout and I did here at first, but I got the feeling some did not like it so I changed to Justme. So if I make a mistake and sgn out Farout, forgive the mistake. 2824 | Is pre-tribulation biblical? | Revelation | justme | 173551
Doc. I read Tim' answer and copied it off for my self. I just might someday look a little closer at this. Mean time real life issues like a 19 year old girl from our daughter's High School graduating class was killed the night after graduation. This has been an especially sad situation as the girl was into the Wica cult. Our daughter spoke at the funeral and read some Scripture. The pastor doing the service was so pleased that she had witnessed to her for three years. Sadly there was no evidence she made Christ Lord. This has completely rocked the graduating class with deep grief. Blessings Doc. Justme |

2825 | Is pre-tribulation biblical? | Revelation | justme | 173554
Doc: I do not hace a congregation. I am forced to be medically retired. I am blessed to be used as the Lord opens doors and help however I can in church. I am sorry if I said anything to indicate I was serving as a pastor now. I do feel my wife and I seek out people in ministry and encourage them, and when ever the possible look at needs they might have for the ministry. Bible translations, we try to give the NASB Application Bible or the NASB Study Bible to those who do not have the NASB. We attempt to invite the couple to dinner, and offer our prayers for them and help as needed. I felt the biggest need in my ministry at the four churches I was pastor. A pastor and the family can be a fish bowl experience, and often those in ministry are neglected and lonely, and have needs that no one in the church has a clue of. Encouragement is something we all need, and it takes so little to bless the socks of these fokes. Thanks for your responce Doc. Justme |

2826 | Will a device be placed for tracking? | Revelation | justme | 193683
Lukewayne1: Welcome to the Study Bible Forum! There is no place in Scripture that speaks even in the remotest way of tracking devices. However there are those who twist Scripture and add personal thoughts and imagination to say all kinds of unscriptual garbage to trick people into buying books. Left Behind is a fine example of Scripture mixed with fiction. The dangerious part is many readers think what said is factual, when the Left behind books are sold in the fiction department of book stores. Be careful not to be taken in by non scriptual make believe. justme |

2827 | one is not with Christ and the other is. | Revelation | justme | 242687
Welcome to the Study Bible Forum shirsly. This is a difficult passage to explain. In order to give you the best Biblical answer I need to know if you have a study Bible of any kind? I think not or you might not of asked this question. The very simple answer is that there are more than three views on this passage beginning with verse 4 to 6. It all depends on how a person understands scripture. The three major views are; Premillennialists, Amillennialists, Postmillennialists. Each of these views interprets these verses differently. There just is not enough time or space to go into detail on each of these three views. There are many books written on each view. So I am not putting you off, so please don't think I am avoiding your question. However to give you a very basic summary I found this in my LIFE APPLICATION BIBLE. "Christ will return defeat Satan, and reign forever! Whatever the Milllenium is, Jesus Christ will unite all believers; therefore, we should not let this issue divide us." There has been great debates over this passage, and sadly it has divided Christians and even caused church splits. This disturbs me as Christ has said that the way we show love to one another is the way the world judges us as followers od Christ. (my paraphrase) I hope this brief explanation stirs you to go deeper in your study of the LORDs WORD. May God bless you. justme |

2828 | When was the book of Revelation written? | Rev 1:9 | justme | 134958
Kalos: Very interesting question. I am leaning more to an earlier date of about 65 AD. I have taken this more sreiously lately due to "Hank" the Bible Answer Man, and his quest for a better understanding of "things to come". I believe that hwen Jesus said that this generation will not pass until "these things take place" are better understood in light that the generation Jesus refered to was those standing heraing His owrds. Do you see some favor in this understanding of the text and why Revelation might well have been written at an earlier date? blessings. justme |

2829 | REV 11 The Temple stands yet destroyed | Rev 1:11 | justme | 204686
RC: I just wanted to bring a note of peace in this thread. As I have studies end of times for some length time I came to a point I would like to share. I won't belittle you with a review of the four views of the end time, as you may be far better than I in understanding them. In fact, I have even favored a combination of some of the different theories. I have seen heated words exchanged in this forum, and in a couple of churches over this subject of endtimes. I personally take Matthew 24, the very words of Christ, and this has become the basis for my understanding. No one knows when Jesus will return! Only the Holy Father knows when Jesus will come. We are to be ready always. There will be times of sever suffering, wickedness will increase. The elect will be deceived, and false teachers will be abound. We see this today in the Word of Faith movement. We are to stand firm to the very end. False Christs will appear. There will be such distress as the world has never seen before. In verse 29 of Chapter 24 after the distress Christ will return. I am sure there are those who take the position the Christians will not go through tribulation. However, I believe Scripture says we will see much distress, and to teach otherwise might cause some to lose their faith, because they were taught Christians would be raptured before the tribulation. That is my understanding of the end times. But brother RC, the greater side of love is to let the Word of God stand on it's own. There are many fellow believers in Christ that I deeply respect and love, who believe different about end times. I will dialogue with someone who is interested, but I refuse to show disrespect, argue, or not allow someone else to take whatever Scriptual understanding they may have. I agree with many of your points. I too have a very serious problem of those who make money off multitude volumes of fictional stories for a false theory of end times. That really erks me to see Scripture mixed with false words to tell a fictional story. Some people actually believe they are reading what the Bible teaches. In my opinion this is an example of a false teacher. The Bible Answer Man, Hank Hanegraaff has written THE APOCALYPSE CODE. Hank, gives some very interesting points to consider, it's worth the read. However, Hanegraaff is merciless in his attack on those who are dispensensationalists, I find this to be detrimental to the body of Christ. Hanegraaff has become as offensive, as the strict dispensationalists that he finds so obnoxious! Therefore my brother, the greater way is expressing our theology in undersatnding and love for those we disagree with, and not become disagreable. In the end the only thing that matters is Christ in us working through us for His glory. justme |

2830 | will we go thru the tribulation | Rev 3:10 | justme | 110641
uniqueone: May I suggest you read Matthew Chapter 24. Jesus stressed we are to be ready. As I read what Jesus said I can see no reason to think we won't. However, if percgance we don't so much the better, the key point is to be ready. What do you think after reading Matthew chapter 24? justme

2833 | When, what and who are included? | Rev 7:14 | justme | 224271
BMyers: Perhaps we mignt reconsider a few points, easly overlooked. All understandings of Scripture, and the views about the return of Christ are really how one understandes endtime Scriptures. No one knows when Jesus will return, only the Father. I suggest that there is a danger in totally accepting any of these theories. If as some say we will not go into the tribulation, and it just so happens we do? I believe this would wreck the faith of those who were so adomint this would never happen. Just what if we had to endure great tribulation? Would not those who thought we have to go into the tribulation be better prepared. For years I have studied the many view points of the return of Christ. Frankly all of the views hold some valid points, and I clearly see how they interpret Scripture for the view point they hold. I have come to rely on Matthew 24. I use the Words of Jesus Himself as my starting place in understanding the end times. I take the waite and see view. I personally am prepared for Christ to return right now. Yet I am also ready to suffer for the sake of Christ. If I must endure the tribulation, no matter if we are taken out in the middle or at the end. That seems to me the better understanding of Matthew 24. Are there Christians right now enduring tribulation? Yes, Christings are in serious tribulation in Iraq, just to name one place. Christians are not allowed to work, buy food,, live in certian neighborhoods, and even pray, or mention Jesus. China is rough place for Christians now as well. Over and over Jesus said that with different calamaties, earthquakes, war, no food, many times the time was not "yet". All the different views of Christ and his return are in my opinion not an open and closed deal. Being ready just might mean to be prepared to suffer, or die for your faith. I ask are most Christians ready to suffer sever pain and suffering without denying their faith in Christ? Would most of us be willing to be burned at the stake? Could we endure watching our children tortured until we say we reject Christ? Could we watch our wife and daughters raped until we rejected Christ? This might well represent what being ready means. Now are we really ready? I believe we need to think and pray for strength to endure being ready. I hope my understanding is taken very seriously. The things I mentioned above are happening today in this world. Ae we really ready, frankly I doubt most Christians have given this serious thought and are not prepared. I hope pre-tribulation is the correct view. I am afraid we as lazy un-read Biblical Christians we are not ready at all. Blessings Brad. justme |

Findrichard: Welcome to the Study Bible Forum! There are many who believe being ready is just that..."being ready". Jesus said every day has a full share of problems. That's a justme paraphrase. I know surffering first hand. Romans 8:29 teaches me suffering is not without a positive side. I am learning to become more like Jesus. I will never come close to true "Christ likeness". However Jesus allowes me to have a little taste of being somewhat like HIM. I attempt to live my life like it may well be my last, and hope I improve in understanding what ready is. I never want to give the impression that my brothers and sisters in Christ, who believe, we as the Bride of Christ, won't suffer, are to belittled. Jesus said the world will know us by our love for each other. For me that is most important of all, according to Jesus. Glad to have you in the forum! Blessings. justme |

2835 | Rebuild a Temple? | Rev 11:1 | justme | 78849
Taleb: If you and Searcher56 would'nt mind, I have observed some interesting things. I think, after reading you threads, are you not coming from a Amilliennial understanding of of Daniel and Revelation? If so then may I suggest that perhaps Searcher56 seems to me to be, perhaps, Dispensational Premillennist. This might well account for your difference of opinions. What do you think? Peace and blessings. justme |

2836 | Pick prophcies we want, ignore others? | Rev 11:1 | justme | 78853
Searcher56: Hi, Justme here. May I offer an observation in your dialogue with Taleb? I hope you said yes. I think Taleb may be of the Almillennial view of understanding Scripture. Correct me, but I think after reading your notes, you may be in the Dispensational Premillennial understanding of Scripture. At least your dialogue gave me the hint of this. If this is the case neither of you is likely to get the other to change their view. Both views can be held to the light, and have valid representation in past theologians and Biblical scholors. The same can be said for thelogians of today. Even though this seems like a major difference of understanding Scripture, there is no reason to not enjoy a good serious debate. I enjoyed your notes and use of scripture to back your position. Personally, I take Matthew 24 and 25:1-13 and let Jesus speak exact, and perfectly as Jesus said it would be. I keep it in context with the rest of subsequent verses in Scripture and if my view does not agree. I back up and see what it is Jesus said that I don't understand. Everything must agree with what Jesus said, or I have a misunderstanding. That makes sense to me, this is not always simple, and requires more study, from my perspective. Peace and blessings. justme |

2837 | Middle East and America in Prophesy | Rev 12:14 | justme | 63231
Pastor Glen:In our mid-week service two weeks ago we discussed this very issue. We are going through to entire Old Testament. We now are in Daniel Chapter 12 next week. But back to the USA the wide majority felt the Egale represented the USA. Our Pastor is Dispensational Premillennialist. I was not to excited about the study of Daniel or Revelation. I had a bias againts Dispensationalism, and that is being very honest. I went, but was going to show my support for our pastor, and that is also the youth night for the older teenagers. We want our daughter to be involved with the youth group, or I doubt we would have gone for the book of Daniel. Well Glen, our pastor presented this so carefully and did a lot of research that tied in so much genuine history, I not only enjoved every verse, I know lean much more to Dispensationalism! What a blow to me! I think to be a pastor to others who have been a pastor presents some real challenges of it's own. Our Pastor is a teacher that shows respect for the Word of God, and with no doubt he love's the Lord Jesus with all his soul. So Glen, even an old worn out pastor can learn and grow! For me the mirror is not so dim, it's getting clearer the more I study. Think on this and never believe anyone is to old to change. justme |

2838 | Satan's flood. Want some info. | Rev 12:15 | justme | 219583
orinvee: I have read your last statement in which you said, "Two of the biggest lies that Satan has foisted upon Christianity is the 'eternal torment of sinners' and 'the Trinity'. Neither of these teachings are biblical and are anathema to godly worship." You have blasphemed against the Holy Trinity! You have the audacity to smear the Holy Trinity? Further more, what then does Matthew 25:46 mean when Scripture says "eternal punishment"? Just what Bible translation are you reading to give you such lies? To me it sounds like the New World translation, are you a JW? If you do not believe in eternal torment for those who reject Jesus Christ, what do you think Matthew 25:41 is describing? You are unorthodox and heretical in your contempt for the Holy Trinity. The Universalistic Theology of heaven, and the renunciation of eternal torment for those who reject Jesus Christ is heretical. The consequences for teaching this lunacy is eternal torment and for those who follow this apostate theology, that you endorse. You are correct that "one must 'swim' through an ocean of false doctrines and creeds and dogma to find the nuggets that lie hidden in the murky depths." The truth is you dispute the two most distinct teachings in the New Testament. Yes satan deceives the "whole world" and satan has seduced you into rejecting not only the Holy Trinity but eternal torment in a literal hell. You have been deceived by the evil one without recognizing the flawed Scripture twisting you have embraced. The biggest lie satan has foistered is the Bible means something else other than what the Bible really says. That wrong is right and right is wrong. I pray your will see the error in your thinking. Stjohn(:-) Just as the body of Christ has many parts, and all do not function the same, the Study Bible Forum functions the same because we are parts of the same Body. The hairs on my head felt like I was hit with 220 voltes when I read and reread what was said several times over. We have seen this heretical attack before and I am sure we will see it again. The blessing is the Holy Spirit sounds an alarm and we follow Scripture. Blessings John. justme |
