2841 | Are there Demons today? | Rev 18:2 | justme | 52360
Jesus cast out demons in his lifetime. I believe we all would agree that the New testament has ample evidence that demons exist, and were actively involved with hindering Christ and his choosen few, and believers. If Jesus cast out demons, and even allowed them to enter a herd of pigs, which was deviled ham by the way, and they ran off a cliff into the sea. Please tell me where are demons today? Also why is not the casting out of demons today a part of the church? Are not demons just as active today as in Jesus life time? What should we as Christians do today to recognize when we come across a demon? How are we to cast out a demon? Are we to cast out a demon. This all sounds like some pretty rough dealings I am not sure how to deal with. agape, justme |

irdkilgore: May I suggest you read Matthew chapter 24. Nothing says it better than what Jesus said Himself. I would look at how many times the word "yet" is used. Read this chapter in Matthew and then read Revelation. These are be in agreement, it takes study to fully make sence of it, and study takes a life time. Justme |

fcs375: I have five books that are very good reading obout the Millennium. I believe it is important to at least have knowledge of the four views, and then study Scripture to seek answers for your own personal theology. Here are the five books. THINGS TO COME by J. D. Pentecost Publisher by Zondervan Publishing House 1964. Pentecost is a Dispensational Premillennalialists. THE BIBLE AND THE FUTURE by Anthony A. Hoekema by Rerdmans Punlishing Co. 1982. Hoekema is a Almillennialists and perhaps prestents this view better than most. THE APOCALYPSE CODE by Hank Hanergraaff, by Thomsa Nelson, Inc. 2007. Hanegraaff is the "Bible Answer Man" on Christian Radio. The book is odd in the way Hanegraaff twists and turns and attacks DISPENSATIONAL PREMILLENNIALISM. Hanegraaff comes to a Almillennialism conclusion. Now the two best books I think best, gives you all four views and allows you to do your own research to come to your own conclusion. THE MEANING OF THE MILLENNIUM: FOUR VIEWS. edited by Robert G. Clouse. By InterVarsity Press 1977. This book has been updated and is very good, I like it best of all. REVELATION FOUR VIEWS A PARALLEL COMMENTARY. eDITED by Steve Gregg, by Thomas Nelson Publishers 1997. This book does a very scholarly book, and is written on a 515 page Masters level book. This is a very good book, but not easy reading. I am sure there many other books that others can give you, but these are the ones I have experienced and know about. I came to the conclusion that each view has merrit and have some very valid points. I am not a Dispensationalist. I find there is no way for someone to sit down and read the Bible and come to such conclusions. I came to the mixture of combining Premillenniaiism and Postmillennialism. Basicly I take Matthew 24 and start there. Then I read Revelation by looking at the history and the meaning for those when it was written, and what meaning has this for me today. Well I hope you have found something worth looking into from my post. Blessings. Justme |

crk5150: Welcome to the Study Bible Forum! Friend don't get so centered on the tribulation, there is room for a wider understandings than just the pretribulation theory. Frankly, allowing for different views points on the subject of return of Christ is evedience of putting Christian Love above things that are debatable. The subjects that are not subject to debate are a fifferent thing altogether. I personally believe we are to be ready for Christ's return. If we stay ready then we will be found faithful. Very seldom do I spend much time wondering if we will endure the tribulation or if we will be taken up in the middle of the tribulation, or even that we might not have to expereince the tribulation. Consider this, if we do have to endure the complete tribulation, and many preach we won't, might this teaching ship wreck some believers faith? Better to assume we will have to endure the tribulation and be prepared I think. Many Christian brothers and sisters are in serious tribulations right now. Just because we live in a faily easy place to be a Christian does not mean the Chrurch in the rest of the world is not in real pain and being killed for their faith. Is this not tribulation? Not the TRIBULATION, but some experience real hardships now. Be ready, alert, and watch, for only the FATHER knows when Jesus Christ will return. Blessings. justme |

Pastor Glenn: Good to hear from you! You make a very good point for us to take very serious. I believe Christians may well have to suffer beyond what many Christians are prepared to endure. Mainly becaus many teach Christians won't suffer tribulation. I for one don't see that this si what Jesus said in Matthew 25. I believe Jesus warned us that these suffering will come and it is "still yet to come". Suffering can take many forms. As I write this I have blood clots in my right leg and both lungs. I am suffering, but not because I am a Christian, because I am human and have a sinful nature. I would be pleased if you remembered me in your prayers. Blessings Glenn. justme |

2848 | Will Christ be coming back very soon? | Rev 22:20 | justme | 51717
alpha and omega: does this there are two of you? Oh well, back to your question. I do not believe there is anything remaining to happen for Christ' return. I believe the only thing stopping His return is Gods Love and Mercy that He wants no one to perish. May I suggest you read Matthew 28 the whole chapter. There are many things that could go on for a long time. Paul expected Jesus to return in his lifetime 2000 years ago. Then again we are to live our life as Jesus may return tommrow. But work for His Kindom as it may not take place in your lifetime. Only The Father know the hour! I suggest you be anxious for nothing, but be ready at anytime. agape, justme |
