Hi Kalos: I have found that a book called The meaning MILLENNIUM: Four Views Edited by Robert G. Clouse Published by IVP to be an excellent book to get the actual schollars view. Each give their view point and each author gets give their view. Then the other's point to say what they don't agree with. All four views are presented. Top notch book, a must read book. For myself, I have vasalated from time to time on how I understand the views. Dr. J. Dwight Pentecost's book THINGS TO COME by Zondervan is pretty much where I stand right now. The real point is to be prepared, be faithful, be fruitfull. The rest will come as the LORD has planned. Regardless of how well man may think he has it figuared out, don't bet the farm on mans view. I am ready! Beam me up LORD! agape, justme |

Parousia: Please look at the note I sent to Kalos. This is a very interesting subject. This is the kind of dialogue I enjoy. This is a dialogue that only the LORD knows the complete answer, the date, and time of Christ's return. So at best we are still putting a puzzel together. The best part is no one can say if you do not believe this way you are not saved! I hope not anyway! Good the have you with us! agape, justme |

Parousia: I would say at this time I am a pre-trib. However my point is that there is now and will always be tribulation. How bad does it have to get? I honestly have no idea. In Africa millions have been killed in tribal wars. People are starving all around the world. Missionaries are killed, more each yearl. Many in our own country are hungry, or can't afford medicine and do die for lack of funds. Our economy is on shackey grounds, we are fighting a war that may have no end in sight. Many men and women who have families make very low wages compaired to 15 years ago. Where we live 8 dollars an hour is a good job! But in facy it is not, it is starvation wages. I am greatful the LORD is my protector, my Father who cares for my needs. I am blessed. Paul said he could be content, with or without his needs being taken care of. No matter what happens it is the Lord who see's over us. I have honestly come to the point where I know no matter what happens I just want to be in the LORD's will. I do not understand why some bare heavier crosses than others. I do not understand why some suffer beyond what I could endure. The American dream is a nightmare. The America I love is needing to restate it's slogans. It should be America Bless God! Not God Bless America. We the church have a lot backwards. But, Parousia, we are so blessed to be in this place. Are we in tribulation? Yes, we are. I think it will get much worse! The "YET" Jesus refered to has "yet" to come. The old Boy Scott moto "Be Prepared" is the best answer I know. agape, justme |

Kalos: The point you make, is exactly what I thought I was tring to convay. The tribulation that the Bible is fortelling is unlike anything man kind has ever known. I too have had people say look at this or that and they think we are in the tribulation now. I sigh inside, and wonder how can you bring truth to someone who is adament, because they heard a tv preacher say so. We are a nation of tv bible educated schollars. Wow, that sure is impressive, how many still are sucking on spiritual bottles. Thanks for your input. agape, justem |

Kalos: There is a unrealistic over abundantance of believers that are so adament there way is the only way to understand the end times. Some will make such a strong eschatological statement, that to believe anything but their view is like being a part of the antichrist. Without agreeing to their view, as if it were an article of faith statenent, you are no longer a part of the Body of Christ. For me, that is unthinkable, and ignorance at it's extreme. I have said before "be prepared" the Boy Scout moto is very well suited for Christians. I think if as much attention to studing 1 Cor. chapter 13 would be even 10 percent of what the study of end times is, the world would change in a very short time. Kalos, it is much easier to plan something than to work and make it become reality. The welcoming commitee takes comitment and work. Oh no, I said te "W" word. agape, justme |

Aspiring Overseer: I wish you had something about yourself in the Update User Info. I do not really know to whom I am addressing, which would help a lot. May I say that I do NOT know of any scripture that could back up your view that anyone could obey ALL the COMMAMDS of God. To cindybaby12 is a viable answer. Could you please explain how you arrive at the exact age of 18? I am thinking as your name implies that you are aspiring to be an overseer, am I correct? This might become an important issue for you, as an overseer. I am not tring to be rude, I would like to understand your theological scriptual base for you note. ok? Thank You. agape, justme |

In the Andes: The unkind words directed toward Hank Hanegraaff's supporters saddens me. First you spelled his name incorrectly. Second you do great harm in comparing Kenneth Hagin with the Catholic church. I will agree the Catholic church in South America is much different than that which calls itself the Catholic church in the USA. I stand very close to saying the Catholic church has slipped too far. I agree they teach things that are unBiblical. But Salvation is still proclaimed My friend it is unwise to down grade a genuine believers works, and compare them with a false teachers works like Kenneth Hagin. I have not the slightest doubt of Hank Hanegraaff's salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ. As for Kenneth Hagin, he has denied the diety of Christ, the trinity, and the list seems endless. 2Corinthians 12:20, Paul was afraid he would find gossip. I would clasify you calling Hank Hanegraaff and those who support his efforts a form of slander and gossip. If this is how you find the best use of your time on the forum, I would consider this is contrary to the forums objectives. You used no scripture, only your personal opinion. 1 CORINTHAINS 1:10 warns us about divisions. I Believe it is far better to seek fellowship and build up one another than to tear down a outstanding Apologetics ministry that Hank Hanegraaff is doing. WE need to lift our brothers and sisters up, not tear them apart. Please bare in mind a little slogan I read once. "Lord help my words to be soft and tender; For tommrow I may have to eat them". As one of our members said not long ago. The words we write will be recorded for who knows how many years to come. Rather than harsh rude words how much better a legacy of kindness and caring for all to read sometime later. Peace. agape, justme |

In the Andes: First, I pray for peace of mind and calmness of heart for you. These issues you bring up are very distribing to you, and your strong words stirr your emotions to a boiling over point. I am not aware of what WofF is, would you please clue me in as to it's meaning. There is a direct sharpness in tone of you words that stings like a fire ant, in my spirit. You have what seems like a real first hand knowledge of cults that couldbe used in a very heelpful way. Have you considered writing Dr. Hamk Hanegraaff, and explaining how you can add to his resource center. Not all the material is written by him. There are many other authors who contribute to his material with full recognization. This would give you an excellant place to put your knowledge to work for good. For most of you are preaching to the choir. We see there are churches that are very borderline to cultism. I believe if you would choose words expressing kindness and openness toward more dialogue you might fing people who would ask you questions, rather that being so abrasive they back away and ignore you. I have never thought less wrong is not as wrong as wrong can be. Rat poison is 90 percent good food. for the rat there is only way to find that out. The end is the same for those trusting cults. I do pray you can reach out in christian love and in soft spoken words that will encourage others to want to hear you message. I am sure you feelings about Kalos are wrong and unhealthy for your spiritual growth. agape, justme |

In the Andes: My, My, I am very concerned that you cone out like you are carring an ak47 biblically speaking. I just recently ask you to consider using kinder words. The kind words get more attention. You are so protective of Wof. Why? That group has fallen all by its self. Thousands have been mislead and it is a cult! I most certianly do not agree that the CC is not as close to a clut as they can be. So what is your point? Are you attempting to stir up division in the forum? I resent you refering to Kalos the way you do! If you would get off your keyboard and spend half as much time praying for the people in the Forum as you do stirring up the theological pot, perhaps you might see others as The Father in heaven does. I think you have pushed this for several days and that should be enough! Give this a rest, you are too worked up, and that is not from the Lord! justme |

kalos: I want to tell you how complete your answers are. You put time in you answers, research your scripture, and present it in a orderly way that most anyone can follow. I respect that when you come under attack you maintain your cool. When anyone in the forum comes under attack then the dialogue should end. It seem's some get very worked up defending their view, to the point that blood is close to being shed. For me I try to calm things down. If a second time of asking someone to take a time out does not work, then I try the ABUSE note. I believe the forum is met for higher means of expressing love in exchange of dialogue that always keeps the level of respect high. For these things I have seen in you and felt you should be praised. agape, justme |

Hank: I asked you to remember me in my surgery the day before you had your heart problems. I think I should have prayed for you before I went in. I have a 61 year old friend that had what sounds very simular. He does well and takes a nap evrey day, and other than not as much zip as before, he says he is ok. He gets checked regulary. He pumps at 38 percent. I am at 33 percent and I do pretty well. I will pray for you daily, and your family. I was stunned to read you note! Life is full of unexpected things that just pop up. My surgery was so easy on me, and I endured it fine. However, the results have turned out that my knee is much worse. I go to the surgeon at 8: AM tommrow. Pain has taken on a new meaning for me. They think because there was more damaged than they thouht, there may be more to do yet. I just pray for God's will and patients. I sincerely pray for your healing and the rest your body needs. God bless you and your family. agape, justme |

Greetings Cyclist, My husband thanks you for your kindness and prayers. He is coping with tremendous pain from a knee surgery (taking a sudden turn for the worse). He enjoys this Forum so much and I read along many times, his postings and the responses. His poor health (and waiting for new perscription glasses...ho,hum,smile!)sometimes impairs his focus, but does not damper his spirit or thirst for fellowship with other believers and God-seekers. May the Lord also richly bless you and your family! Thank you also for being so informative on your profile! I do not understand why many of the others do not choose to at least take the time to write a BASIC profile of themselves as it would enrich the whole experience for those that respond to the postings. This Forum has indeed been a God blessed window of opportunity along this pilgrimage journey of life! agape, (Mrs.)justme |

298 | LEFT BEHIND? | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 59971 | ||
EdB: :-) If God uses these books to bring people to a genuine soul saving experience then I am pleased. I personally am not drawn to the LEFT BEHIND books. I am not sure scaring fokes into a commitment is ethical, but that's only my opinion. I prefer to read what the Bible actually says, rather than a fictionalized version. I do believe this has been a drawing for some who other wise would never pick up a Bible. I have done very little compared to Tim LeHey in winning souls to Christ and can admire him for his evangelistic out reach. I most asredly don't even come close. LeHey is my brother in Christ. I feel the films by Cloud Ten Productions had some very serious financial ethical problems that were a poor testimony to the world as how to finance Christian movies. That is really my main issue. agape, justme agape. justme |
