281 | How Holy Is Marriage? | Matt 16:6 | justme | 213381
always learning:I hear the pain in your note. Robert, all sin is forgiven the same way. In 1 John 1:10 says no one is free of sin. You have a burden that is heavy, especially when you are loving your son, and concerned for your grandson. There is enviormental, and other factors the seem to draw men and women into that gay lifestyle. Often the parents are blamed when that's not true. There is great pain for parents of children that have such problems. None the less, I believe all sexual contact with others outside of marraige is sin. Romans chapter 1 is very specfic. I must either agree with Scripture or believe that the Bible has huge errors. I believe what the Bible says. Are there Christians who take a long time to brake free of the sins they have become intwined in? Oh yes, dear friend there are. The thing that is most important is there a effort to keep confessing the sin and seeking Gods strength to become free of the sin. Robert, it is not just homosexuality. There is greed, anger, nasty language, drunkeness, the list is very long. All sin is done by choice. Sin starts with our thoughts, and comes forth from hardness of heart. As parents most likely we do see sin in our childrens lives, it hurts us. But calling sin something other than what it is does not change what Scripture says about a sin. Just as adultery, fornication, and homosexuality are sexual sins, there is coming a time we will stand and answer for our lives. Blessings. justme |

282 | Annoted Synopsis Final Events for Jesus? | John 21:25 | justme | 213232
rose53: The fact your books have not come in yet, would have been important information to say in your request. However, what you asked was rather extensive. I too have experienced times when text books did not arrive in time for a paper due on the text materials assigned. So I do understand your problem. None the less, the library most always has a copy of the text for students in situations just like yours. I know this makes a hardship to go to the extra time to use a book in the libarary. However, there is also a mater of Christian ethics, when asking others to supply you with outlines that require your own efforts. I fully understand how difficult my note may seem, but as Christians we are to uphold to a higher standard. Might I suggest that you explain your situation to your teacher and ask for some special understanding on his or her part. When seeking special mercy and this has not been asked before, most teachers will permit some extention, especially for a student that really wants to lear. God bless you. justme |

283 | The United Stated in the Bible | Bible general Archive 4 | justme | 213027
stjohn: I surely hope you don't mean I was not to bright for asking the question from the first. Personally, any question about the Bible that is a sincere honest question is welcome in my opinion. Some of scripture in not fully understood until some discovery is made, like the Hitites for example. The United States, may at sometime in the future, be asorbed by some other country or join into a group of countries. Such events are unknown now, but who knows how or what is in store for the United States? With the huge debt the United States has with China the United States is very vulnurable. I have no idea when Christ will return, but I know we are to be ready. Like many generations before us there has always been speculation that believers were living in the last hours. As Scripture reminds us God is patient and and each day given before His return is grace and mercy. justme |

Bandaid: May I suggest you state in real easy to understand English what it is you want. Your note reads like you are upset. Your question comes forth like a genuine problem you are dealing with, that is not anyone mistake but yours. What do you expect, when you make no mention in your question that you just want Scriptual references. Those who have responded to your unclear question took time to think and pray to give you an answer. I would think you might consider being somewhat in appreciation for those of us that answered the best we could with as little ingormation as you gave. Your temper has the best of you, take some time to cool down, and reconsider your words and responces. justme |

285 | salvation for unbelievers? | Rom 1:20 | justme | 212480
Hank:-) My brother and friend. This answer really touched me deeply, thank you so much. I needed to be reminded, proving someone wrong is not what is in the best interest of anyone. Let the Word of God and the Holy spirit use me as He will and Let the Holy Spirit do as He can and will. God bless you Hank, and the country we live in. Happy New year, dear wise one. |

286 | Why do I want to speak in tongues? | 1 Cor 13:1 | justme | 212402
Flyman: Thank you for your response. I fully understand where you are coming from. There is only one sure solution to your questions. The answer to you understanding the Scriptures is ib studing the Scriptures. Get a Greek English New Testament and read it. Everything anyone can or will say means little, but the actual Word od God with the Holy Spirit will teach you and give you wisdom in all the areas that present a challenge. Blessings and merry Christmas. justme |

287 | Why do I want to speak in tongues? | 1 Cor 13:1 | justme | 212373
flyman: If I follow the "logic" then everyone who has not spoke in tongues is unsaved, correct? If there is a contradiction in scripture, then how do we know who to believe if some other writters don't seem to agree? If there are contradictions, then there must be things we can't trust? If all the above is true, how can we believe any of the Bible? If there are contradictions then that means there are errors in the Bible? This all seems logical does it not? May I say that you have to come to the point that your logic is nor correct or the Bible does NOT have contradictions. flyman, you need to come to the conclusion that there must be more to understanding Scripture than you are aware of. The key point being you can either trust the Bible completly, or you can continue to find contradictions and errors and thus call into question the birth, death and resurrection of Christ. Because you mentioned tongues, this is mentioned in Acts, and Pauls writtings as well. Following the logic you stated, then because Jesus never even discussed this subject so then tongues is subject to be a contradiction. The point I am trying to bring to your attention is what you have said may seem logical to you, but you are lacking a solid foundation upon which to make logical statements. Here are a few places in Scripture that shoulf help you have a better understanding if Scripture. 2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20. May I suggest you take the New Testament book by book and read them. You will soon see that you have taken logic in Scripture out of context. justme |

a humble messenger: Welcome to the Study Bible Forum! I might be wrong, but do you belong to the "Yahweh Assembly" group or denomination? I have read their material, and what you say is what the materials say that have read. Have you read the introduction to the NASB? There is a very good explimation as to why the name of Yahweh was not used by the Lockman Foundation translators. I personally would have no issue if the NASB or the NIV or for that matter the NKJV used the word Yahweh. As Long as using that name was not a dogmatic as a demand for salvation or required for worship. Having dealt with this issue before, the big problem for me is the "Yahweh Assembly" has become so legalistic and dogmatic, there can be no dialogue in a kind respectfully way. I have not found a single requirement for salvation in the New Testament, that we must use the name of Yahweh to be saved. However the Yahweh materials I have read seemed to require using the name Yahweh to be a believer. I do not want to make you feel disrespeced or that I am being unkind, but is this how you understand salvation, and using the name of Yahweh? I am not wanting to debate you on using the name Yahweh. I just would like to know if that is your bellief. Thank you for your response. justme |

289 | Prayer Request from My Family | Bible general Archive 4 | justme | 212045
Shelly: At first I thought you must be a new person to the Study Bible Forum, but then I saw your user info. May I kindly say what you did and said was very wrong. All that was asked was to pray and leave the message posted, When you made your statement to skccab, you removed the prayer request so none of the rest of us could pray for him. The better and kinder thing would have been to just pray for him and leave it alone. There has been twice I ask for my life to be in the center of Gods will. Both time I was very near going to be with the Lord. Please take what I have said as respectful and as a kind way of saying, please lets support one another when a very special request crosses out path. Blessings. justme |

290 | Demon posession or Personality disorder? | Mark 5:15 | justme | 211975
Child of God 1988: What you have stated is correct. Again as I stated there was unclean habits in nasty dirty magizines. This has trapped many men, and destroyed marriages, and families. I call this filth "satans best" and it suckers many into it's clutches. Paul does such a great job of putting into Scripture in 1 and 2 Corinthians. We have been bought with a price of Gods only Son! justme |

292 | Living together | John 3:16 | justme | 211564
No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care. Little saying that's been something I read a long time ago. Jesus ate with the sinners and the those very religious leaders mocked Him for doing so. This too might be a better way? justme |

293 | Living together | John 3:16 | justme | 211494
Gosh, did Jesus avoid sinners? You mean we should avoid people living in sin? Are you sure this is a Biblical answer? Than maybe we should not invite sinners to church? I think the Bibles says other will know that we are His by the LOVE we show then. Oh well, just a thought. justme |

295 | pastor / shepherd? | John 21:17 | justme | 211289
Thanks for your response. The post sounded a little odd for what I have read of you in the past. I too have left a word or so off and it totally changed the meaning of what I was attempting to say. Hank was very kind to point it out to me in a very sweet way. But that's what we look for in people from Arkansas and Missouri. Perhaps a good way to say what a pastro or shepherd is....whatever there is to do and the need is there to do as the Lord directs. A pastor never is out of things to to in serveing the flock. justme |

296 | Most accurate translation of Bible? | Bible general Archive 4 | justme | 210814
heart4missions: Welcome to the Study Bible Forum! I like yoor pen name, my wife and I have a sincere heat for missons as well. The Amplified Bible is just what it says...amplified. The words are given a wider and more depth of the meanings of the words. For just reading it is sometimes a bit laborsome, as it is easy to get tangled up in the many choices of words. I have said the best Bible is the one you read. Just getting Christians to read the Word is a huge task. We live in a time when people would rather hear than read. The bible is the best selling book of all times, but it is the least read as well. Proberly most of us might admit it takes real dedication to stay in the word on a consistant basis. For just reading I enjoy the NIV best of all, but sericous study is often found in the NASB for me. Thanks for your note, I hope you enjoy the SBF. justme |

297 | Can one be refused services when sinful? | Matt 16:24 | justme | 210524
Doc: I have seen the heart breaking results of people involved in such sin. I am rather hurt when I hear someone excuse a sin and call it a "mistake". Jesus paid the ultimate cost for our sins. Mistakes do not even close for the Blood of Christ to shed and die for. Thank your for the encouragement, and kind words. justme |

Steve: English or whatever language we use to communicate with, is often not fully understood by the person or persons we areattempting to make understand our thoughts. It amazes me how the Holy Spirit is able to reach out to each of us and we are able to completely understand what is being said to us. Only Jesus has made His will so easy to understand that even a child can come to a saving relationship with Him. Blessings Steve. justme |

300 | Does Christ come into our hearts? | Rom 10:9 | justme | 210342
Hank: When we ask children or sdults to "ask Jesus to come into your heart" this is so confusing. In my recent listening to WAY OF THE MASTER there is the use of Law and Grace. Using the ten Commandments and asking if the person has ever lied, used the name of God in vain, looked at the opposite sex with lust, and then saying these are all commandments. Then the use of God sending Jesus to pay for that sin, if we surrender to Christ. This has been the most touching way I have ever encountered to share Christ. The clear message is will we pay for our sin with the judgement of hell or surrender to the forgiveness that God has provided us. I have never found a sinless human alive now, in my lifetime yet. Hank, perhaps we had not make the beauty and wonder of the Ozarks to well know. If others only knew what a blessing living in Arkansas and Missouri is then everyone who reads our posts will want to move here after they visit the Ozarks! Blessings to you Hank. justme |
