361 | THE APOCALYPSE CODE, Have U read it? | Rom 11:17 | justme | 191348
Rabban:-) Thank you, I was looking to see how Hanegraaff explained this and you have done an excellent job. After reading the Apocalypse Code I have awakened into a better understanding of Matthew 24 and 25. Although this book might get some erked, perhaps some might see the issues with the most popular theorys of today. However, this is not more than an "in house debate" as hank has said. I wish you would consider using the Update User Info. to the left, so we could know a little about you. Blessings. justme |

Searcher56: I appreciate you opinion. Were ther other things you could say after you read the book? I have read it twice and found several areas that will bound to bring attention to the Bible Answer Man, and will effect his support. There are many who would be dogmaticly against the whole book. However, this is exactally what was taught to me at Midwestern Theological Seminary (SBC) in Kansas City, MO. I am not sure they teach that mow some 25 years later. justme |

Doc: After serious thought neither side has onehundred percent of the answers, in my opinion. However, I do see how the conclusions came about. Perhaps at sometime, someone, somewhere will write a theology of middle grounds. Thank you for you note Doc. justme |

Hank: It is nice to know I am not the only one who is in the a middle ground. I have thought a good while before asking the question. I did not want to start war all over again, so I tried to ask in a way that made sure no one would think I wanted to dialogue about either side. Our Lake of the Ozark has reached it's highest level that we have ever seem. We are sending some down your way. Now is the time to get your fishing gear ready. 369 | If we sin, can we still go to heaven? | Eph 2:8 | justme | 190826
Acts2:38: Welcome to the Study Bible Forum. I am most interested on what Scripture or Scriptures do you base your statement? I respect your view, and would like understand your how you come to the understanding that somkers go to hell. Noteworthy is the fact that many Christians have been smokers, C. S. Lewis being just one example. As a question, would a Christian that drank wine also be in the same catagory? In thinking about these issues how does Eph. 2:8 fall into your understanding of the situations above? Can we get to sinless perfection? What about 1 John 1:9 and 10? Thank you for taking the time to dialogue with me. Justme |

370 | How Trinity of God is working? | Gal 4:6 | justme | 190341
Doc (:-) You have done a very down right honest response! How often some people try to explain the Trinity in all sorts of ways that make no rime or reason, eggs, water, and the like. I have no problem is saying like Deuteronomy 29:29 says that there are secrect things that belong to the Lord. There has to be somethings left for the Holy Father to explain to us, we don't know it all now. justme |

371 | Why the NKJV over the NASB ? | Bible general Archive 3 | justme | 190106
Hank: Thank you for answering my question. I am sorry I did not acknowledge you answer sooner. I went to the Lemstone Christian Book Store, I talked with the new owner about the NASB, and other versions. He told me that there is more sales in the NLT and the ESV. The NIV still carries a large amount of sales, but there is a shift. The shift is slightly away from the NKJV, and a large drop in sales from the NASB. His reasoning was people want an easy to read verson. For me that does not explain why the ESV is doing good. In the SBC churches I know of in our area the NIV and the ESV seem to be used a good bit. When I was the pastor in my first church they had KJV pew Bibles. When it came time to stand for the Scripture reading unless I used the KJV some could not follow. However I did preach out of the NIV. The people liked it so well they changed pew Bibles to the NIV. My dear wife and I read the Daily Bread together, and we read the Scripture out of the NIV. Often we reread the passage in the NASB to see if it is clearer in the NASB. My wife likes the NIV best of all, so that's what we use for devotions together. I have used the Daily Bread from when it first came out in 1955 I think. Once on their mailing list they will stay with you even if you move all over the planet. Never have I been sent a demand if we don't get so much money in we are going down the tubes. This is a genuine ministry, worth supporting. As a side note, so many Bibles are being made in China, and Korea! The workmanship is very good, but the pride of having a Bible made in the USA is harder to find. My wife and me had nothing but the KJV until we were marride about 7 years. How did we ever understand what we read? It did not seem hard at the time, and we were taught how to read KJV in the SS and memorized Scripture in the KJV as well. I don't think we even knew it was written on a 11th grade level. My how things have changed. Thanks for your information! Blessings, oh wise one in Arkansas. justme |

In God Trust: I indeed, am not only a hypocrite, but I am a sinner. I do not deserve the Grace, Mercy, Forgiveness, and Salvation that The Lord Jesus has given us all who have been born again. For by grace I have been saved, and I it has been on no merrit of my own. I openly admit I am in dire need of studing the Word more. May I never stop needing the Word of God like I do my daily food that I eat. In all honesty I look up the Greek less often than I should. I can not speak for others on the Study Bible Forum, but I have rarely had any on my questions be completely ignored, nor have I noticed situation is the five years I ahve been blessed to be a part of this forum. Perhaps, you need to once again read all the posts I made and Kalos, I answered your questions. Perhaps the answere were not what you wanted. I most assuredly do not have the same level of knowledge of Scripture as some in this forum, but I do believe my Biblical insight is good. In the LIFE APPLICATION BIBLE, under Matthew 7:1 the note says "....It is not a blanket statement against all critical thinking, but a call to be discerning rather than negative. Jesus said toexpose false thechers (Matthew 7:15to 23),...." I encourage you to actually read some of Hank Hanegraaff's books, then lets talk about the value of his material and research. The judgement you have placed on Hanegraaff, me, and some in this forum is remarkable in the lack of Christian qualities. However, the very things you have pointed out as errors in others, are the very same issues you have shown to me and others. I doubt that someone attempting to elevate the likes of Joyce meyers, and other Word of Faith false teachers / preachers would go unchallenged in the Bible Study Forum. That is NOT saying that I am speaking for anyone else than myself. Having dealt with many who have had a loved one pass on, the grief we experience comes out in one way or another. Perhaps, this is why there seems to be such a combative attitude in some of your notes. Please know I am still a brother who does have great sympathy, and brotherly love for you and your family. Blessings. justme |

Hopalong: As anyone who has put emotional and spiritual faith into something that appears to be soild ground, we stand by our convictions. But when the solid groundss turns out to be quick sand or a sink hole, we either see the turth or bankrupt our faith. You listened to the Holy Spirit, and rather than stay in fimular teachings you followed the Lords leading. Bless your heart! justme |

Rick: Romans 14:22 So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the man who dese not condemn himself by what he approves." NIV. In 1987 one of the people of the town I pastored in had sent nearly twenty thousand dollars to Oral Roberts for his hospital. Less than a year after sending this money the woman had to have a kidney removed. She was told if she ever needed medical care the hospital would be there for them. The truth is the hospital would not even let her come for a reduced rate! She went to a county health department, got assistance from the state and welfare paid for ther surgery. The Orak Roberts hospital used so many peoples money for what? The lifestyle of Joyce Meyer is not one that many of her followers have. All the names I mentioned before all live very wealthy lives. I find that inconsistant with Scripture in the way these people live and use their followers to supply them with such outlandish materialistic things. These false theachers / preachers, are a bottomless money pit, that have no idea what to be content means, or to live as the average follower lives. The Golden Rule is not applical for those who have privale jets, gold fixtures in their bathrooms, or airconditioning in the dogs house. Rick have you read any of Joyce meyers books? An interesting fact is that rat poison is ninty five percent good food, but deadly! I believe I have ridden this Missouri mule about as far I can. We are the fork in the road, which direction you take is up to you. Blessings. justme |

Rick: Have you ever personally read any of Hanegraaff's books? I do not agree with everything he says, but I have not codemmed his writing as less valuable than "toilet paper" for which I think is the ultimate slure one could make. In amy of the Bibles or Greek I have studied no where have I found that one must believe in Dispensationalisn. I would call Hagee's qualification for salvation as a lie from the pit. Can you please explain to me how he comes to this conclusion? I know for a fact that salvation is not dependant on beliefe in despensationalism, by the Bibles I read anyway. I know that Hanegraaff has confronted those he feels were or have been in error. Benny Hinn actually repented on the air, but he went back to the errors again. I welcomed your response to my question, but I did ask for anyone who had read the book. Or maybe I was not clear on that I am not sure. While stating an opinion I try to quote from some knowledgable source, there by having some backup for my opinion. I attempted to point out that to destroy a mans work especially degrading it the value of less than worth cleaning up human waste. Rick if anyone said that about the book you are soon to publish, I would say the very samething to them as well. Too often Christians shoot their wounded, and protect those who are false teachers. Perhaps my understanding of some of these false teachers might help. Jesus said those who are not against me are for me. (that's my words) These teachers that Hank Hanegraaff mentions may well be saved, but have a serious flaw, and are misleading some very trustion souls who have not learned to read the Word for themselves. The Holy father knows that, and our duty is to attempt to correct thes flawed teachers. If these flawed teachers refuse to repent then they will face the Father and He will take care of it. I would have no objectio to you making spechic statements about Hanegraaff if you gave me a specfic case in point, not a general statement. I see using illistrations to discribe your opinion as a word picture. The word picture you used about the toilet paper is so crude and I think you have a better vocabulary that you could have made a better word picture than that. Am I wrong? How do we as Christians deal with John 13:34 and 35. Is this not a a core theology or doctrine for us as believers? I used two pages of space to awaken your heart without showing disrespect, and brotherly love. I maybe long winded, but I only can think of a very few notes I've posted that I have cared enough about someone to make such a huge effort. I honestly believe you are a brother who is worth the exortation and time it took to write you. I am not a dispensationalist. I have studied this theory, and I feel it is worthy to dialogue about, but not to draw such conclusions that if one see's the end of times different that one is not saved. That a false theology. If someone would critise say Honk on the forum unfairly I would defend him. Just to mention there have been times that that very thing did happem Others have also defended others on the forum to help resolve a misunderstanding. So please see that I defend at times when there is less than proof positive about a statement. The Bible school and the Seminary I went to have both drifted into liberalism, and I cannot defend their directions. I am open to correction myself, and I have been corrected on this forum as well. Criticism is accepted by me and I have grown thanks to those who took the time to care enough to bring it to my attention. I wish you would at least read the APOCALYPSE CODE. I think you would be amazed at what Hanegraaff has to say. I believe this book to be a work that will be used for many years into the furture. Blessings to you Rick. I hope this helps you see I care enough to spend the time to write you. justme |

Rick: I just read this response to Kalos, after I sent my 2 posts to you. May I again state that you should think about general statements about Hank Hanegraaff. Say more than her has stirred up all kinds of things. Personally when I read the LEFT BEHIND books, and understand that these books are "fictional" I an very upset. How many there who believe these books are the total truth. Tim LaHaye is not what I would consider the better spokes person for dispensationalism, nor is Hal Lindsey. John Hagee believes unless you accept dispensationalism you are not saved. I find that utterly brazen, and just out wrong. What did the early church father say about the end of times? Perhaps, maybe, there is other thinking that might be better. My core theology starts with John 13: 34 and 35. Have you considered calling or writing Hank Hanegraaff and bringing your issues with him? That Rick is Biblical. As a busy man it might take a little time to get back with him, but you will get a response. Call him on the air, and confront him there even. Rick that would be my understanding of a Biblical responsibility, as you do ave something against a brother in Christ. I have attempted to confront when I have felt so burdened, sometimes I have gotten some positive results. Think about it. Blessings. justme |

Continued from last post: Hanegraaff's book RESURRECTION is remarkable and is hard to imagine someone finding afult with it. The COVERING is another example of outstanding wothwhile reading. I can find nothing that would be rated as meaningless, and worthless to be used as "toilet paper". That is an insult and shameful thing to say on a Christian public forum. That's just not cool dude. The theories of eschatology have become such a hotly debated subject, and even divided Christians, churches, and families! Ths subject of thelast things is an "in house debate" not an issue to brake fellowship over. I am not a "Panmillenniumists" and do have a theory of the end of times that my understanding and study of Scripture. I believe how we understand in begining of Scripture, is how we understand the end of Scripture, and from that ending is how we understand the rest of Scripture. However, how much more important is that we are to love one another, and the world to see such deep Christian love that we will be known as belonging to and followers of Jesus Christ. I ask you to think this over and if there is something worth gleaming that's good. I will remember you im prayer as this has to be a time of grief and adjustment. I feel deeply for you and your children,. God bless you Rick, brother in Christ. Justme |
