John: I could not agree with you more. He who has the SON has life. He who has not the SON has not life! But even repentance follows salvation. Salvation, Grace plus nothing is salvation. These other factore come as evidence of salvation. Thank you for responding. agape, justme |

John: If you don't mind me tossing a verse into the Forum, how about John 1:9."There was the true Light which coming into the world. elightens every man." Romans 1:20 "For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen, being understood though what has been made, so that they are without excuse." Actually verses 18 to 23 give a better total picture of that there is no way for anyone to say I did not know. I am not speaking for Ed, but I could not resist adding to your dialogue. So thanks for allowing my input. chairo, justme |

Kalos:-) Remember these are fictional. However parts of scripture are weaved in and out of the stories. Exactly what part is up for the reader to come to their own conclusion. I am not sure but if you counted all the pages in the ten volume set it might amount to more than the Bible! Do you think they might come out in a soft genuine leather calf skin set? Perhaps they might become collector items like Beanie Babies? I get thrilled at the idea of making double my money in a short time, thanks to almost Gods word. Just imigine what a set signed by TIM LEHEY would bring! This is really a solid investment, and may be worth holding on to for retirement! I am dumb founded as to how these stirr up such huge interest while the Bible sits on the end table covered with dust. I think of the verse about tickeling the ears, while the truth goes un noticed. Well it's something like that, or was that in THE WICKENBURG DOOR, I read from a decade ago? Did I hear something about loosing our first love? With all these Bible wolven fictional books it is hard to keep it all streight. But as long as we believe in Jesus thatt's all that counts! Or is there something missing? :-( chairo, justme |

kalos: :-) It' just ole justme again. I am tring to be good, but is is hard. I am having a hard time keeping up. In fact I think I am being....... LEFT BEHIND! Oh no, I must read faster! Now if you enjoyed the books LEFT BEHIND the movies CLOUD TEN made are remarkable! The quality and fine acting, bbeat Oppie in Mayberry RFD! I have three of then that we have watched a couple of times. And for the low, low bargin price of 19.99, that in its self says a lot! Plus we got tickets to see the extended version when it ever comes to our local movie house, for free! I have been waiting a good while. Does that mean it might not make it this way? Mr. "T" is in one! Will there be a fourth movie? I would like to collect all ten and then put then on E-Bay, for maybe 1.99 for all ten. That would be my way of spreading the 50 percent fiction, and 50 gospel. Any bidders? Do I hear 1.50? chairo, justme |

312 | Welcome To New Guidelines | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 62632
Hank: I sincerely agree to abide with the Forum and its wishes. I regret that I refered to two denomoantions by name. If in reference to thes two denominations offended anyone I offer a genuine extension of remorse and repentance. I pray for your tollerance of my unwise choice of naming any group or churches. My deepest apology, from my heart. Humbly I submit this with Christ love. justme |

315 | Believing in the Bible | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 65027
prayon: The Bible code has some very serious problems. Hank Hanegraaff at equip.org and on Hanks radio progran THE BIBLE ANSWER MAN have challenged this so called CODE. From those who seem to be far more knowledgeable, have said it is a hoax. They say the facts as presented do not line up and can not be duplicated. Grant Jeffries is not someone that has proven his code to be crediable, with genuine expert Bible scholars of any crediable institution or person justme. We do not need to make up codes to prove the Bible or that God does exist! Using the Dead Sea Scrools is evidence that is trust worthy and has proven to be accurate by even the most sincere doubters. We can prove that Biblical history is accurate to even colaberate Ceaser and Cleopatra. The list is limitless, with proven textual sources. We do not have to resort to unproven, and doubtfull codes that are doubtfull at best. Lets not go back to Y2K and get all excited over what amounted to making some Christians look rather foolish. In the world today we Christians need to shine as beacons of truth not flash in the pan theories. |

316 | Where does this story come from? | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 65084
Edb: You are correct, "braking the leg" story has been a preachers story, and I have yet to find the source. I think a lamb with a broken leg would more than likely wind up as dinner. The extra work required to keep such a wounded sheep going would use more time than a shepherd could manage. I refered the person to the book to see how much a shepherd really does do, with no fiction added. I had a shepherd in one church I pastored. I learned much from the shepherd and the sheep as well. Goats are more independant and require less constant attention. They will come to others voices, and can turn on their caregiver. I think there is a message here. justme |

317 | Why make endless quotes? | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 65098
Searcher: has anyone ever really given it much of a try? I wonder if many read these long quotes? I am always in agreement of quoting Scripture. I would rather read what the person feels about the author said. That shows me they can read as well as type. Thanks for your input.
318 | Can we loose our salvation | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 67035
New Creature: May I suggest that faith that falters had a flaw in it from the first. The verse in Hebrews is refering to Christians who have become so carnak that they can not repent. Then end results can be death, but not loss of salvation. How can the Holy Spirit let go of someone whom He is covering until the person reaches Jesus. The holy Spirit is our surity from the Father, assuring our eternal security. Think on this, I hope it makes things clearer justme |

319 | Can we loose our salvation | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 67172
New Creature: May I be perfectly honest with you? Lets not spin a thread a foot long on my computer screen, ok? I think we have opposing views on Eternal Security, which in reality makes no difference, as we both see the importance of following Christ and to our faith being kept strong, and our walk of faith being continual. The debate of "can we loose our salvation" reminds me of an Old Testament historic event. When the people were told to put the blood of teh Lamb on the door posts and mantels, and the Death Angel would pass by, and the first born would not die. I feel confident, because human nature is as it was then, and always will be. Some went to bed and slept with total peace knowing their trust in the Lord was enough, and there faith was strong. I am reasonabley sure that there were those who stayed up and prayed the whole night through, and equally felt there faith was strong, and felt praying for the Lords protection, was an act of faith. Neither of these reactions show any weakness in their faith in the Lords ability to save them. They aproched the situation by both puting the blood of the Lamb, on as they were told. Their response in waiting for the death angel to pass was quite different. I have the feeling I would have been cutting zees and slept like a log. Some might consider that lazy or weakness, I would say content, that the Lord would do as He said. I don't want to make this unsoveable debate, and go on and on, as in the past, several times on the Forum. For me there are bigger fish to fry in theology. I have studied this question from just about every way, my bias mind can. No one has been able to convience me you can loose your salvation once you are a genuine, born again Christian, at least in the last 50 years of Sunday School and personal Bible study and Bible College or Seminary. Faith that falters, had a flaw from the begining. That is what the story about the seeds is all about for me. I am not going to show anything but love and respect for those who so choose to believe other wise. One thing is for sure we will know when we see the LORD face to face. May I suggest a look at King David. Ih lied, lusted, took another mans wife while she was still married, concieved a baby with her, then had her husband killed. That is a very dasteradly bunch of evil deeds. David repents, says to God against you and you only Lord have I sinned! Well I am sure that God must change our temperments when we go to glory, or when David passed on Uriah would have had a little something waiting for David at his arrival. Then the Lord says David is a man after my own heart. Now if this does not show a very Merceifull, Gracefull, forgiving Lord, then I sure don't know what does! New Creature, we have different views, and there is nothing I can say, even from the Scripture that will change your understanding, and the same is true that I am just as firmly andsolidly planted, in my view as well. We have just saved us lots of notes, and a thread that thas repeated on this same topic at least three time this last year. I respect you, and pray the Lords blessings on you. justme |

320 | Can we loose our salvation | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 67202
Cyclist:-) Please let only the Lord be praised, for His working through the Holy Spirt which gives us the words to say in times of need. There is nothing in me that is excellent, except the Lord Jesus Christ to whom I am unworthy to take any praise that is His due. My knee is so well, the doctor dismissed me last Friday. I went to a special program three times a week and got those lazy nerves and mussels working again. This was a real blessing from the Lord. I am so thankful and blessed! Thank you for informing me about the removal. I found it to be in such extreme poor taste and judgement, I felt as it were an attack on being a follower of Christ. I have never responded in such a firm way, ever before. I felt so deeply about it, I had to make my distain very clear. So I thank you for your amen. May your day be blessed. justme |
